Has your fever broken? If you have it for more than three days you will REALLY need to see a doc. I hate going to doctors too and give my body every chance to fight it off on its own, but after 3 days it's time to "call in the troops". Rest, hydrate and rest some more. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVI Morning Nibbs! The storm wasn't too bad for the kitties. We let them sleep with us and they were usually well behaved. My alarm clock did get reset in the middle of the night, though, so I'm getting a little later start then I had planned. |

LOL We were under a tornado watch up until 7pm last night, but luckily nothing happened that I have heard about. Of course you can't hear anything if you don't have the TV or radio on. LOL I love my quiet world. |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVI Morning, Nibbs...another week, another airport. Yes, being a prof is an interesting life. Sorry you lost power, Jen - we just lost DirectTV on and off around 11-11:30...not good when you're having insomnia, but not the end of the world. Beth, get thee to a doctor already. Eval at work was good. Other stuff going on is good. Watching people in the airport...ummm not so good. There is a bald boy wearing Harry Potter glasses - I think you need the hair to balance the glasses, but that's just me. There's another woman who is barefoot and appears to be giving herself a face massage. She has ugly toes, but I'm digging the color of the nail polish (a darkish maroon). There's a teenage girl laying on the floor on her stomach (eewww) writing in a journal. (Oh, and I totally forgot, last week at the Des Moines airport, on a Sunday morning at 5:30 am, there was a man who whipped out a Playboy magazine and was reading it in the terminal. ) Don't you wish YOU were at the Richmond airport? (I don't know what my access will be like until Friday a.m. when I am home...miss you all, if I must.) |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVI from my blog - didn't want to type it twice I had to share My boss is so awesome - when i called this morning to tell him I wasn't coming in, he says - 'Beth, I have a question, or maybe a suggestion' I quickly shift into work mode, thinking it was going to be about the big project I'm heading up - mind you, I wasn't thinking anything bad about him asking me about work, after all that's what bosses do, and that's what I am used to imagine my surprise when he says - 'my suggestion is that you need to get home to Omaha as soon as possible' let us get you a cab and take you to the airport and you take the rest of the week to rest up and feel better. SHOCK! we talked about it a bit, in the end I really don't feel up to traveling today, not to mention the fact that I'd spread lots of nasty germs. Hopefully this fever will break today, it seems to be much lower right now, not sure if it's gone or if its the drugs. Then, he said - what do you have in your apartment for food - I said peanut butter and jelly - he said, what do you need, and we will get you some groceries. 45 min later, he calls and has brought me soup, broth, gatorade, OJ, water, bannanas, cookies, english muffins, and cream cheese. What a good guy. I was a bit embarrassed to have him see me looking as I do, but so grateful that he did this for me. |

Sounds like some interesting people watching - airports are great for that if nothing else I actually had an employee once that whipped out a playboy magazine at his desk and started reading it when I confronted him - he couldn't understand why it was inappropriate! Hey, poor, sick Tinkerbeth... yes, I stopped in for a quick hello before heading to the gym for a run on the dreadmill (still chilly weather around here). Speaking of cycles... if any of you ladies are ready to "call it quits"... and wrap up the reproduction option... consider Novasure's Endometrial Ablation... I had it done 13 months ago... FABULOUS... I finally re-claimed my life. Yup... wish I had stock in OB and other such companies... my suitcase was typically half full of product... O.K., I have a feeling this is my cue to leave again... |
