HI NIbbs...

Was bummed b/c Amy canceled on our bike ride (she's sick), but I did get a great run in.  I think I PR'd the route... and did under a 12 min mi with no pre-workout inhaler (that's good for me).

Just had a nice surprise at work... front desk lady is part of Sweet Adalines (a accapello singing gruop)  She invited some ladies (a quartet) who drove in from Grand Junction to come sing a couple of songs here at work.  WOW!!!  They were great!!!  As a vocalist, that just made my day, now I'm kind of gitty... yep, I'm a little corny and love those kind of things.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.  While I'm momentarily motivated I think I'll try and get some work done.

Welcome back from the depths of school!!!  Hope your time off is enjoyable so be it training or just relaxing!!!

Wear that Wendy's wig in the Orange car and I'm sure you'll get looks.  Oh, or better yet, wear the wig to jury duty and act just a little off key, that jsut may get you dismissed quickly if you do get called in.

Nothin' wrong with occassionally being a little selfish and doing what YOU want... as long as it's not hurting anyone else (ie drinking and driving)
I used to care what others thought, okay I still do from time to time... but the bottom line is if you're not happy, chances are no one else is either (or at least as a woman, that's how my world works... hahahaha)  So do things that make YOU happy, and you may find someone who makes YOU happy there (ie I met my hubby on a beer run on a church ski retreat... two things that make me happy, beer & skiing, okay three... church is kind of impt to me too.)

LOL.  I'd love to see what happens with the wig in jury duty!

Ah, shucks... Thanks you guys.... I don't think I would have gotten nearly this far without NIbbs... It was my first challenge team (now that's something I should've put and forgot) and it provided a great experience that has carried me through. It's true!!

Okay, I DID go back and add that in... I felt it was pretty impt to the history of NIbbs.

Hello everyone! I'm crawling out of my homework cave finally. I just submitted my last paper for the semester and now I have a week and a half of freedom until summer semester starts. I run my first ever 1/2 marathon this weekend ACK! I have not been training all that well I have just been soooooo busy that it is ridiculous.

Anyways, I am going to try to get in here more now that I have more time. I don't know what this summer semester will be like, but hopefully not as chaotic as this last semester was.

Hey Jeni! I'll be running New Prague this Saturday as well. Running with a friend...it's his 1st, but I have a feeling he's gonna run it hard and smoke me, which is fine, he's young, and I don't want to hold him back. I'll look for you. Bryan (mndiver) and his wife Kelly (lumpy) live down in New Prague, and they'll be running it as well.

Good luck on the race! I feel like I'm not totally ready, but it's a great course with friendly peeps...

I'll keep a look out for you as well. I think I could recognize you from other pictures I've seen, but I don't think I know what Bryan and Kelly look like. Wish I could tell you what I'd be wearing so you could pick me out better, but I have no idea what the weather will be like. How about this... I have blue and black Adidas shoes and I'll be wearing an UA black running hat

 Oh my gawd... I was rear ended at the beginning of April. When I got my car fixed I had this horrible not quite purple, not quite gray car. Do you think they pick the most horrible loaner cars for a reason? LOL

I never thought to bring my camera... hmmmm, might have to do that now! 

Thanks! And I will finally be training again. I'm excited to actually get all my swim/bike/run workouts in instead of getting no bikes, an occasional swim and a couple runs!

can relate to the eating thing...left dinner the other night after my dd and I raced together and we ate everything in site...she can afford to...but me! NOT GOOD! I left there feeling miserable! and was not hungry til late afternoon the next day...thank goodness, cuz I ate enough for a few days supplies....plus we split a really nice bottle of Stags Leap wine....mmmmmmmmmm!

Yes.  Or Listeriosis.  I know I don't have Listeriosis since I work with Listeria in the lab and am really familiar with the disease.  We always laugh when that comes up on House because it never really fits the symptoms.
