Thanks all.  I'll do a race report later today.  (I took today off from work.

My 300 meter pool swim was about 4:30.  I've done 300 yards in 3:58 in practice.  But nerves, adrenalin, other people's elbows and feet, congestion on the turnarounds, etc. slowed me.  I did 300 meters in the warm up and never could find my rhythm.  T1 was a little over 2 minutes - I was trying to calm myself down and not "fumble around", I tried to stay slow and deliberate.  The bike was a blast.  I hit 38 mph at one point and my time for 8.5 miles including T2 was about 30 minutes.  There were some uphills too.  My run was 15'ish and it was humid with no wind.

I had a ball; wife and kids were there too.

I missed 2nd place by 18 seconds.

I'm not sure how many of you middlers read the BT articles, but here is some good info on those dreaded "other" strokes:

RR is up.

Not sure if I'm going to train today or not.  Still "unwinding."  May get some trainer and/or easy bike time and will get back on it tomorrow for sure.  Shouldn't be any problem finishing goals this week by the 31st.

I'm going to have to work hard to meet my swim goals!  Lost my swim mojo somewhere in the middle of the month and really slacked on pool time.  I'm going to be out of town the last few days of the month so I'll be hustling hard to get everything in by Thursday.  Can I survive three days of swimming in a row?  I love to swim, I love to swim, I love to swim...

In the mood for some swimming inspiration?  Allow me to brag on one your middler team mates for a moment by recommending you check out what Amy has done in the water the past week:

Quite frankly, she's had an unbelievable week in the water.  Outstanding!

Holy Canoli!  I used to swim that much when I was on the high school swim team but I think, at this point, that the wheels start to fall off around 2500 yds.  Way to go Amy!

Question - I filled out my race report and isnt' it supposed to add my training time automatically to my workout log?  I took the 25th off, filled out my race report, and there is nothing on my training chart.  Seems like I never get those race reports correct or I wind up with two in my log.  No biggie, I put the times in the log the regular way.

Also, does my tri yesterday count as 2 bricks?

I got some recovery swim laps at the neighborhood pool today and an hour (easy) on the bike.

Nice swimming Amy!

I've never quite figured out if the RR is supposed to fill in the blanks or not - hmmmm - seems to me I've had the same question.

As far as a double brick - I defer to the captain of the team and the organizer

btw - Awesome job!

To answer the first question on how to get your race report to transfer over to your logs.  See the pic below.  When you click on your races tab, that screen comes up.  Where the red arrow is pointing is the option to select a race and copy the race to your actual data.

As for the second question, the way I read it is a multi-sport race counts as one brick.

Bummer.

Going pretty good.  Getting all antsy and ready to finally race this weekend.  I've got to watch myself, though.  I'm one of those that tends to get really irritable during tapers.  Just the lack of training (read: things to do) during my off time REALLY gets to me.  When my routine is broken, I get weird.
