Ugh, this PF is really screwing with my mind. I keep feeling miraculously better and then hours later am reduced back to barely being able to walk. I feel like 12-24 hours after ART I have a massive setback. Anyone ever experience this before? Maybe my cortisone is wearing off. Who knows. I need a new foot.

Central Standard Time.  Which puts us 2 hours ahead of you.  Which means, you will finish two hours earlier to your friends and family watching at home....

Yep, we road trip in 9 days! I am fighting the urge to bring two of everything. 2 bikes, 2 pairs of running shoes, 2 helmets, 2 wet suits, 2 brains. Wait, I don't think I even have half a brain sometimes?

I had a dream last night that kept repeating itself. I ordered some new fancy aero wheels for the race and UPS lost them!

MegCMU,

I use sport legs before and after my long rides and runs and such. I have never used them during the actual ride/run, but I do plan to use them before and after. I will probably take 3 about a half hour prior to the strt and the rest of the bottle after.. It is probably too late for me to experiment with using them during now...

Is that what this is called?  Anticipation?  I have turned into the detail freak that I used to make fun of...  I have my schedule set up... my packing list is set (and modified, and modified)...   I keep telling myself I am good... then something else pops into my mind.

Where I am sooo lucky is my Wife and her support!  She is taking any and all stress of the family being out there off my shoulders!!  Thanks babe!!!!

I know what you mean.  I have lists.... like 3 or 4 of them... and I am trying to get all kinds of information together for my visitors... crazy crazy crazy.  And all I want is MY BIB number!  Is that too much to ask!?!

I just had a nightmare last night that I could not race cause I didn't have a bib number.   I showed them that I registered last year, but that was not good enough.  All they kept saying was no bib no race.  OMG  Surprised

I know they have the place by the transition area where they sell the Cervelos for bike support.  Do I need to make an appointment before I get to Madison or can I just take it over there?  Just need a once over look to make sure all is working well.

I sent out a request about this and hopefully will get a response for you, since I don't know the answer.

I think there was something about this in the athlete's guide.

I think there was something about this in the athlete's guide.

Page 20 of the Athlete's Guide only has the following information, which doesn't fully answer the question:

"

Bike tech services

Ironman Bike Store, the official bike shop and technical provider of the event, will open their event store and tech service center Thursday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Monona Terrace. They will be staffed by expert bike technicians and stocked with great deals on a variety of merchandise."

Hmmm...1388. No obvious significance to the number, at least for me. Well since I've been holding my breath for the last several days in anticipation of getting this number, at least now I can exhale
