I needed the kick.

You can do it. I know that you can. Walk if you have to, just keep moving forward.

MWAH!

Here is one for motivation: my other option is to spend Saturday cleaning the house. I would rather crawl 13.1 than clean toilets and vacuum.

You and me both!

Our yard is a little over an acre in size. I have said for years I would rather cut the lawn with fingernail clippers than wash dishes.

I say take it as a training run. Walk when you need to. Most races these days have people that walk the entire course. You won't be alone.

That is 3 for 3 votes for "do it". Guess that makes it a go.

Had a fun day in the city yesterday. Robin, you are welcome to join me anytime. Actually, that invite includes all of you. Had lunch at Chelsea Market in the Meatpacking district. Awesome little restaurant. Everything from organic, sustainable farms. Caught up with my work friend and got some ideas for the job hunt. Then poked around and shopped a bit in SoHo, although lack of a paycheck does tend to curb any impulse spending. Later, had a quick drink with another friend up at Times Square where he works. Back to Penn Station to catch the train home.  The most interesting part of the day, however, was a phone call I got from someone I worked with years ago. He's back in the States and might have something interesting for me to consider.  Going to chat later this week.

Gotta run 8 today as well. I'm probably going to try and knock it out this morning after a few house chores.

The village told me a few weeks ago to stop stressing over which event to do etc. and to just go do one and have fun.
Good advice which I am prepared to take this Saturday.

I will do my first OWS tri.  It is a small one with a relaxed atmosphere.  I will have to push myself out the door early on a Saturday morning to go to a crowd of people that I don't know and so forth.  BUT I plan to have fun and just do what I can do.  I know I can finish, it is just a mater of time LOL

It is also supposed to rain, but the temps shouldn't be too cold I hope.

That's it! Just do your best. Keep moving forward. It's not a matter of if, it's simply a matter of how long.

So there is going to be a new HIM next year in the Poconos. It will be about 2 hours from where I live. I'm really thinking about doing it. It will be Oct 2, which can be cool in PA. Registration opens the beginning of Oct. I was already thinking about getting a compact crank on my bike this winter, the course will be hilly I'm sure.

What do the Ghoulies think?

There you go!  Since you are 3 hours ahead, that should give me enough time!  I have to drive just under an hour.
