Legs feel pretty good and weight is almost where i want it:-) |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Just in from a 50 minute run. It's -5 with the wind chill here today. My face feels a bit raw, but remembered to put some beezwax on my cheek bones and that seemed to help. |

I wonder if I should wear sun block today? ![]() I will console myself with the knowledge that my climate enables me to htfu. That's something... right? It's something? Having said that, it's beautiful here today (by winter standards). I'll be going out for my long run of 16.1km (10mi) today, though I'll be wearing running tights and a jacket. For the record, I added 0.1 km because I did the conversion and realized that extra 0.1 would make me hit 10 miles. |

Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I moved around some of my workouts and it has me felling much better come the end of the week. Not sure if it just me getting used to the workout load or the moving of days, either way, I'm happy. On the other hand I am not too happy to have to weigh in. Had a house full of family for one last xmas weekend, which translates to a weekend of over indulgence. Can't wait for the warm weather. These long trainer rides are really wearing on me mentally. Standing outside for and hour and a half babysitting a deep frying turkey in single digit temps yesterday has me ready for spring. |

![]() Run was pretty good. Nearly 12 miles with some harder efforts in there. |

Member![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() 9 mile run this AM went pretty well. I was abit sluggish after the 40 min swim and 1 hr 45 min trainer ride the day before. Also, I keep having my hands and lower arms get tingly about 5 or 6 miles into my runs. Anyone every have this??? I can get rid of it to some degree by moving my arms around and clenching my fists while running, but it is getting kind of annoying and uncomfortable. It goes away right after I finish running and I don't get it swimming or on the bike. Very strange. I am hoping there is some way to get rid of it.... |

![]() I usually have to shake my arms out every 30 minutes or so. I know I'm not the only one to do it...so I don't think it's that unusual. |

Two things cause this for me. First, when I wear a bunch of layers and it gets tight around my elbow. And secondly if I am not watching my posture. If I catch myself letting my shoulders round and my head down, it sort of puts my arms to sleep. It's the weirdest thing. If I keep my head up and shoulders back...no problem. |

Do you have a guest room/couch/floor space? I think Jason should come our way and train in the weather we have right now! Never got my run in today, had a little distraction and traveled too much to find time, but I'll give up a days training to watch the Packers win the NFC championship! |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So I'm not excited about this, but I'm at the same weight as last week: 196.2 I'm pretty sure it was one too many beers yesterday. Goal for this week is going to be getting to the gym to run on the treadmill because it's -35 out today with the wind chill and that isn't happening! |

![]() tri808 - 2011-01-17 4:20 AM Weight as of 1/17 is 161.2. New goals for 1/17-23 Ride - 120+ miles Run - 30ish miles Swim - get at least one session in (hand is still sore, but getting better) Weight - again...lose something...161.2 to start the week Other - bring home lunch at least twice this week. Weight as of 1/24 is 158. Some of which is likely due to the stomach issue I had last week, but I think part of it is due to my increased training volume. Rode 115 miles, ran 32 miles, swam 3 times, lost weight, but didn't bring any home lunch last week. Overall I did well though. New goals for 1/24-1/30 Ride 90 miles Run 30 miles Swim 3x Weight: There's a chance I may gain back some weight, since losing 3 pounds is not normal. So just to stay under 159 would be nice...2 pounds in 2 weeks is good enough for me. My run volume has come back up nicely since my marathon...doing almost all easy runs for 5 weeks. So this week I'm going to back off the bike a smidge and start changing one of my runs to a tempo to get a little more quality in there. Edited by tri808 2011-01-24 10:17 AM |

Regular ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Weight is still the same at right at 194'ish Training...well, when the transition out of here is complete, then I'll beat myself up for not getting out and HTFU...otherwise, just concentrating on getting the heck out of here. |

Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() My goal for the week is getting my eating back on track. I'm thinking this should be easy as eating whatever I wanted for the last 3 days has left me feeling pretty crappy. |
![]() ![]() |
Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Weight up a little this week, at 189.5. With a birthday party this weekend, and a little more eating and drinking than I had planned, I'm just happy to be under 190 ![]() The plan for this week is to get another 4 workouts in, and make sure that next Monday's weight is at or below 187. PS: -38* today. No outdoor workouts, but I did have a 15min walk to school this morning, and I have the same walk home in about 15min. |

Member![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Since everyone else is doing it... weight = 172 lbs (I am 6 feet tall) Goals for the week: Ride (trainer or spin) = 80ish miles Run (treadmill) = 20 to 25 miles Swim = 4 times and/or 5000+ yards Strangely (or not?..) I am not / have not been concerned with my weight although I have been consistently losing it as my training volume increases regardless of what I eat (I know, I should keep that to myself, but it seems relevant..). Even though some might consider it a personal issue, I'd like to hear anyone else's thoughts on this and whether or not I should be watching it more. My plan is to do a HIM in late June, hopefully in about 6 hrs and another in early Sept (hopefully in 5:30ish). While I wouldn't say I am rail thin, I am certainly slender (I think..). Any thoughts, suggestions, etc... would be appreciated... Don't pull any punches, I can take it (esp if it is needed..).... |
