And ont hat note, I am off to argue withthe salesman at the auto shop. The tires he sold us with a 70,000 mile guarantee have 20,000 miles on them, and no tread left on 2 of them. Nice, huh?

I'm no mathematician, but something doesn't sound right there.

I would not buy those tires again.  Unless they prorate what you paid for the new ones.

That woulda been good!!! I'm thinking there's something wrong with the pathfinder, too. Bad alignment, which started the whole ordeal, now within 1 month or so, the whole tread is gone, but the bad alignment voided the warranty on 2 of the tires. The other two supposedly had half of the tread left, no signs of bad alignment, and it was a 50,000 mile warranty (which the other location told me 2 weeks ago that it was a 70,000 mile warranty but whatever...$800 later I have 4 new tires, hopefully these will last better. I have yet to have tires last more than 40,000 miles on this car/truck/SUV (pathfinder). I think I'll have the alignment redone at the dealership when I take it in for the safety re-inspection this week. In better news, though, it doesn't shimmy on the freeway anymore. At least not below 75 mph ( I traffic didn't go any faster than that today).

My prediction for Thursday: My doc is going to send me to an orthopedic doc who will send me for an MRI, or my PCP will just send me for an MRI

My prediction for my diagnosis: I have torn cartilege in my knee. I know how I did it, too. Several years ago my husband and I were out for a Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride. He locked up the brakes in some gravel, going up hill and around a turn. We laid the bike down. My left foot caught the ground and my knee bent in until I couldn't bend anymore, then it snapped back and flipped me onto my other side. I was IN PAIN. We got home I propped it up for the rest of the day, and put some frozen peas and carrots on it. They were fortified with Vitamin A, so I thought it would help.

I went to my PCP the next day, I saw a different one then than I do now. I sat in the office for almost 2 hours waiting to see the doc, he was on the other side of the parking lot in the hospital. I finally told the nurse I was leaving. She said the doc said I could go have an x-ray. I asked if the x-ray would show ligament or cartilege damage? She said no. I left. I knew I hurt myself then, I should have followed through with getting treatment. It has bothered me some since then, but nothing like Sunday. I am not kidding when I say without my trekking poles I never could have made it back to my car on my own.

Go to the doctor, follow through.... even if they say surgery. It will only get worse from now on and damage sometimes cannot be fixed after a time. You need to RUN. My DH had knee surgery, torn meniscus and cartilage repair and other stuff from cumulative damages over the years.  He is training for a marathon now.

FWIW, I did the same thing to my ankle that you did. I ripped the tendon but got on my high horse and didn't follow through. I couldn't walk more than a few yards for over a year. Me and my pride got me permanent injury.

Do what Robin says.  Waiting only makes things worse.  My husband waited on his elbow and now can't straighten his arm.

I'll get it taken care of. I just wish I'd have done something about it years and years ago.

It's raining, it's pouring.....

and I get to go to the State Park this afternoon. It should be fun slogging in the mud!

I am going to try to get a swim in before then at lunch time.

I don't know about you guys, but we need the rain. We could get some showers this afternoon, and this weekend we could get 1-3".

All of the Park Services around here have fire hazards as EXTREME, and there is no open burning allowed in the county. Yet, I still saw cigarette butts on the ground along the AT. Grrrrr!

I have a small radio on my desk, and I'm listening to a local station. They just gave the weather, and they said showers likely this afternoon. It is pouring down rain right now, and when I look at the weather map it is a large blob, more than just a shower.

We needed the rain badly too. Extreme fire hazards all around. It is lovely to listen to and I am kinda looking forward to stomping around in mud. I just hope I don't face plant. The contact there has full permission to take photos if I ever do fall. Just no posting to social media!

I detest people who throw butts out. I smoked for YEARS and would not throw them out. That and and people who toss gum out are my pet peeves. (okay.... one of my many pet peeves).
