just got back from a ride, it was grueling - the wind sucked

but I am now at 105% of my bike goal

Nice job!!

My ride today was twice as long as I expected, so I'm at 95% with another ride tomorrow. Maybe a short run tomorrow also and long run Monday to go over 100%. And I put in my Sat. mile at the gravel pond. Fun day so far -- ran into lots of BTers at the pond and rode w/ PetoPrimo a bit too. Now I need to do housework

housework - bleh!

nice workouts

Tnx!

Cleaned our bikes instead of the house

Hey all! I'm off for a spin - not sure how long I will go because I have some sore legs today from getting a half marathon PR yesterday(!), but will definitely hit 100% on the bike. I will definitely hit 100%+ on the swim today or tomorrow, too. Trying to figure out how to get there on strength and running...

Please do as much as you can, and log every little bit - even if you think it won't make a difference, because the aggregate amount will if everyone does it! Go Cheesecake!

June Challenge Team Standings - Week #4

June is now 97% completed. Only TWO MORE DAYS remain in the challenge! Here's how the teams stand, with just over a week to go:

FIRST PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 92.7%

SECOND PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 89.5%
THIRD PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 83.0%
FOURTH PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 79.5%

With only TWO DAYS TO GO, we have a NEW CHALLENGE LEADER! Congratulations to the Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT)!

June isn't over yet, but there are ONLY TWO MORE DAYS! So remember - if you don't MOVE IT this month, your team is likely to LOSE IT!

PLEASE UPDATE THE SPREADSHEET WITH YOUR FINAL TOTALS BY MIDNIGHT (LOCAL TIME), TUESDAY JULY 1st. Team captains: Please assist your team members with this, if needed.

Special Note: If you dealing with "acts of nature," such as smoke from wildfires, and this is preventing you from training, please let me know. Depending upon your situation, you may request to revise your goals.

And remember - You may now achieve 110% of your individual goals! This means you can challenge yourself even more, or help out teammates who may be struggling to meet their goals.

For example:
Your swim goal may now reach 110%
Your run goal may now reach 110%
Your bike goal may now reach 110%
Your "other" goal may now reach 110%

Each individual goal will be capped at 110%. (In other words, you can't do 125% of a goal.) This means that you could, conceivably, reach a "super achiever" 110% total.

Need a reminder of what happens at the end of June?

The winning team(s) will display a signature line: "My team won the June Challenge!"

All other (losing) teams will display an avatar of something that SHOULD have made them move more! This could be your shoes (ie: you should have run more), or your bike (ie: you should have biked more), or your bathing suit (ie: you should have swam more), or.... etc.

Avatars and signature lines will be displayed for the month of July. After that, it's your choice whether to leave it, or remove it.

Congrats Stacy on your PR!!

I thought I saw you at the gravel pond Sat., but got distracted before I had a chance to come over and say hi, which is good since it obviously wasn't you

I hit 108% today on the bike, will do 1 more strength to go over 100%, and planning on long run today and short run tomorrow to go over 100% there too.  Then I'll be ready for a rest!

Go Cheesecake Lovers!!!

I got in a run this morning - I'm at 97% or so for the run

I'll get to 100% for the run and the swim tomorrow, nothing like coming down to the wire!

I got a bike ride in this morning (before the thunderstorms!) and a core workout too.  I need two more swims, so keep your fingers crossed that the thunderstorms leave soon!

Ok, so my overall percentages look really low, but I only have to swim 1200 yards and bike 13 miles to hit 100% in all 3 areas. Piece of cake if I can get to the gym as soon as the kids are at school in the morning. Wish me luck!

Maxed out run this morning.

If wifeypoo agrees tonight I will sneak over for a last swim and lifting event to max those out as well. So send some good vibes - she is getting a little ansy over the kitchen remodel so I don't put a lot of hope into this facet.

Maybe I will go tomorrow and pretend it is Ground Hogs Day for June 30th and no one will ever know the difference

Have a great last day of the month everyone! This was a fun challenge this month and hopefully we can catapult our way to victory with a strong weekend and Monday performance.

At this point, what's one more day delay on the kitchen ?  You like McD's for dinner don't you?

I finally got the laundry room floor stripped and the walls primed yesterday.  Hope to finish painting tonight so we can start tiling the floor.

I'm over 100% on swim, bike, strength.  Hope my legs can do 1 more hour run tonight.  I'm ready for a rest day!!

This has been a great month and I enjoyed doing this challenge with all of you!  I can't believe how much more training I do when I sign up for a challenge -- thanks CCL!!!

O.K. CCL,

This is where I make my formal apology:

I will be 110% on the swim, and will be short on the bike and run.  I did absolute squat the week after the HIM, and then had the youth trip my wife and I chaperoned.  There wasn't enough time to make up the workouts...

Sorry for bringing the team's numbers down...I'm USUALLY at 100% by a week before challenge end...

Next year I'll be a little more conservative at challenge goals if I know I've got a big race in the month...

I've got a swim and run planned today, but not enough to get there...

Woo hoo -- I got my swim in this morning before the thunderstorms rolled in!  It's been a dicey couple of days here.  Anyway, that means that I maxed out run and strength, and am at 100% on bike and swim.  If the weather clears out of here, I intend to bike later this afternoon -- that won't put me at 110%, but every little bit helps, right?

Congrats to everyone -- we all did good.  Hopefully this last push by CCL will put us over the top.  I've enjoyed the challenge this month!!!

Fellow Cheesecake Lovers -

I am doing the walk of shame.  110% on swim and I'll make my KB goal, but am still short on the bike and run.  Next time I will be more conservative.
