Hope you've all had a lovely weekend (I've not - been doing my crappy Diploma and trying to help a sick wife with the ankle biters - hay-ho get a rest at work tomorrow!)

Wish me luck anyway - I've just written a list of events I'd (ideal world) like to enter - my dearly beloved asked me what I was going to be doing after the Wee Tri in March - I'm aiming high so when some get scrubbed, it won't matter...! Wink (not sure how she puts up with me!)

I'll let you know how it goes...

OK, Taminator, why do I feel like someone has beaten me with a baseball bat today?

My z1-2 run went OK, I just took it easy like the plan said.  Hip flexors are oweeee, maybe from the standing intervals on the bike?

Yeee HAWW!

I am buying a new pair of running shoes on my lunch hour tomorrow, ordering a  new bike seat AND getting my hair highlighted. It was just that good! Thank you Madison for buying lots and lots of soap, candles and body care products!!!

I'm BAAAACCCCKKKK!

Though not where I left off, but not too far from it. 1 Mile on treadmill this morning, running for me which would be a moderate walk for the rest of you folks. But it doesn't matter I did it. Still have a bit of a cough but it's very minor now. Glad I forced myself to at least walk a couple of days when I was sick.

Now to get completly back into the habit. I'll be in South Carolina all next week should be able to get some outside runs. YEA.

George.

Hill repeats kicked my butt...literally...this past weekend.  I am quite stiff today.  It was all I could do to run 4.6 miles.  Wanted to bike, but say nah!  Not very triathlete like of me, but I am sure we've all had our days.

JR, I hear you.  My butt was sufficiently kicked this past week.

Very interesting workout tomorrow with bike/run/bike/run/bike/run/bike brick.  Not sure why but I try to do what I'm told.  Wink

Hey all, I am here, but taking it very easy.

I am seeing my neurologist in a little over two weeks following a prolonged bout with exhaustion. Some friends have decided that I need to go and haven't really given me an option. They both have MS and are concerned I may be showing early symptoms. Please pray, my mom has MS and it is not pleasant for her. Unfortunately, I have to wait until March 6 to see him.

Ok, here's my list:

16th May: Loch Leven Half Marathon (from the town where my folks live - not sure I'll be able to increase my running distance in time)

30th May: 10 Under the Ben - 10 hour mountain bike marathon - as a pair team

June - the local annual OWS

26th July Strathclyde Tri (almost Oly distance - 1.4k S, 38k B, 9.5k R)

29th Aug 3G's - XC 48mile MTB race

The problem is I've also just started a 2 year Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, which is taking up a HUGE amount of what should be family time - I suspect I'll end up just doing 10 Under and the Strathclyde Tri - it's under discussion...!Undecided

Other than the White Lake Half Iron and the MS150 in September, I believe a good portion of my schedule at this point, is up in the air. Need to get through the next couple of weeks.

Thank you. I wish I could get in sooner, but he is one of the best, so I will wait patiently. I'll continue to do what I can when I can and go from there. Thank heavens the Half iron is a relay.

I'm a little concerned, but trying to stay positive.

Just dropping in to say hello. I've updated my race schedule but still not satisfied. Why is it so hard to pick and choose?

I have a question. For those of you who ride on a trainer. How much time do you spend in aero? Please don't tell me the whole time!Cry

At the moment none at all! My Wee Tri is XC biking, so no aero for meSmile

After the Wee one, I suppose I should clip on the one I've borrowed because the Oly in July will be on roads - I'll use it when I'm not on a "hill" section of a course and try to make it realistic.

(My problem's going to be that the trainer is Mr Sweaty-maker and the aero bars where foisted on me - I don't want to make them all skanky! I'll need to start training in the big outdoors I guess!)

I should add that, as you know - I know nothing - what does the Tamminator et al do?!

Not nearly enough time for me.  I just went "aero" last summer and it took me the ENTIRE summer to get use to them.  I was probably up to about 50% by the end of the summer. I just don't trust the feeling and I was told I needed to be refit cuz my neck is really strained when in aero, so that may be the reason I'm not totally comfy.

... I just don't trust the feeling ...

See that is what makes me nervous about aerobars. We are in a very hilly place, plus I like to keep my hand on the brakes just in case ... I suspect I would rarely use them but if I want to keep up with my tri friends on a ride, I could really use a little extra speed
