Artemis - 2009-09-13 1:49 PM Felt really terrible this morning, so I didn't run.  I rode almost an hour on the trainer instead.  Probably a good call on the not running, even though it means I miss my long run for the week.
Bummer. Did they give you a special diet to follow? If so, how long do they think it'll be before you start to feel better? At least you did the trainer though. That's better than sitting on the couch watching TV. I wanted to run this morning too, but my eye is all red and icky. (Not to mention, it hurts.) I don't see anything really wrong with it, but I'm assuming the bug scratched something. If it's not better soon, I'll find a doctor. (It's a new town. I don't have a doctor here yet!)

Any chance it's allergies?  My eyes get like that a lot.  Eye drops help.

As far as diet, very low fat.  There's a good chance it's not going to get better until I have it removed.  It's a matter of managing it as best as I can until surgery.  So, low fat diet and not stressing my liver are the ways to go.  Which is unfortunate.  All the good things have fat in them.

Ugh I hear you on all good things having fat in them... except maybe Fruit....

And lollies.... lollies dont have fat... they are just all sugar... not sure if that helps.....

Asthma attacks mid swim suck.

RR is up....3:14:27.  PR for the bike and close to my last stand alone 10K run!!

Nice job even with the asthma!!  I hate asthma problems during the swim. They are scarier than while you are biking or running!!

Asthma attacks suck. Period. Sorry to hear you had one during the race.

I'm usually OK with swimming. It seems to act up more when I run. Not sure why. (Maybe because I've been swimming longer, so I use the lungs more when I run wog?)

The only fruit I'm not supposed to eat is avocado.  Too much fat.

Most of the candy I like is things like gummy bears and skittles.  Not much fat, but lots of sugar.  I think my sugar and carb intake is going to go up a lot on this diet.

hehe yeah I think its possible...

Im going through the trying to work out what I can eat thing at the moment...

So far... meat ok... sausages bad... any spices bad (although I kind of already knew that).. dairy is mixed.... caffinated beverages (not coffee which is terrible) can be ok in moderation).... vegies ok... fruit mostly ok....

And on and on and on... I was actually hungry last night for the first time in ages which was a good sign!

Actually, no. Right now, I just want to get through the work day in one piece.

(I like this new job, but I'm sooo busy between the new job AND the move. There's a ton of stuff that I still need to do in terms of getting settled in here.)

If I can manage to work out three times a week, well, right now, that's an accomplishment.

(I never want to move again.)

You don't know how tempted I was to sign up for IMWI next year. But I would probably end up divorced if I did that. So I guess it will be in a few years.

You need to get hubby to train with you. And the kids too.

Some things are more settled. And then I get a ton of paperwork from the insurance company, and feel less settled....

I do like the job though.

And no, I have not forgotten that my future swim coach is just a short drive down I-85. LOL

The heat was a little brutal yesterday, my gastro-intestinal issues took some time to subside which didn't allow me to PR, the BTers and Donkai were everywhere, and I am an Ironman again!

Thank you, folks, for all your support!  It played a big factor keeping positive the whole day and enjoying the race.

I am very sore, but I am happy.

Bless you all.

I haven't started my RR yet - still figuring and recollecting.  So much to think and start writing about.

Congrats on a strong finish
