TriAya - 2010-11-09 12:23 PM I'm very tired. This is probably due to doing two major things today. Do I need to sleep, or have Pop Tarts?

Oh, of COURSE. Pop Tarts, then sleep.

Sleep??  What is this sleep you people talk of??  We must not have that in college

LOL...  I often wonder what the heck happened to me.  I survived college with NO sleep.  And then I got old?  Or can I just blame the kids?

I slept on the floor in the library sometimes. One year I had a schedule of 8am-7pm with holes in the middle and I was a commuter.

LOL  I slept through biology one day.  about 200 people in the most boring lecture ever.  The girl who sat in front of me was nice enough to wake me up when the roll sheet was being passed around so I'd get counted for coming to class

I once woke myself up in class by farting.

Oh, Lawd, that's funny!!!

did you wake anyone else up?

BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I had an interesting experience last night. I got to be the subject in a photo shoot. I don't really like to be the subject of attention. I like to just blend into the background so two hours in front of a camera felt a little uncomfortable. My wife is in charge of a catalog for a local bookstore and they needed someone to hold a CD they are promoting on the cover of the new year catalog. I'm sure glad that its not a full body shot. I'm all dressed up in a tux holding the CD and you will be able to see from my chin to about my belly button. I can handle that. Actually its one of several ideas for the cover so there is hope that the shot will be dumped but it's their favorite idea. I hope I don't ruin it for them.

So the photo shoot was t?wo hours of "OK, now move your hands a little." "OK, move your hands again." A?fter a while, they? decided they liked it better when I held the CD with my hands holding the ?b?ot?t?o?????m corners. So th?e??n it was "OK, move again" but I had to ?keep ?????holding ?the ?bottom? ????????corners. How many different ways can you hold the bottom corners of a CD? Anyway. Its over and done.

pdbman - 2010-11-12 11:42 PM Hello Crushers! Anyone doing anything exciting this weekend?

Nothing exciting planned, but mainly that's because all I have to do for fireworks to go off is leave my front door.

At least, that's what happened tonight.

Got paid to stuff myself with all-u-can-eat, all-u-can-drink 5-star food, hang out with my friends by the beach and listen to a really good jazz band, and watch TWO fireworks shows.

Typical Friday night. I hope the rest of the weekend is quieter, but I doubt it, as I will in fact be leaving my house on several occasions.

Wow, you must be a pretty special person if there is a party and fireworks every time you leave the house. But then we all know you are a pretty special person.

Or I won't be swimming this weekend.  Our pool is closed today, tomorrow and Sunday for a swim meet Going to have to put some crazy hours into the pool next week to get caught up on my goal.

So last night after I got home I decided I would get some stuff done while waiting for my wife to finish up the photo shoot and come home (she finally got home at about 12:30). So I took care of a couple of things and decided to do some catch up work on my push up/sit up goal. I would iron something and then drop and do another set of push ups and sit ups.  I'm all caught up now (on that goal) but it was really getting tough after a while. After my long run tomorrow I will be caught up on my run goal. Swim and bike goals need a little work though.

Is this because the guys go all apeshhhhh... when you walk outside with nuttin' on??

I have done that, accidentally, on more than one occasion--usually I have just woken up and am veeeeery sleepy.

You are teh hawtness, Paul! I hope they do use one of your shots!

My mom was a photographer, so I have spent a significant amount of my time doing just that--move a little here, there, everywhere, no, up down, actually the light's not good, we gotta wait for that cloud to move, lemme go run and get that other flash ...

Great education, though.

That's neat! Hopefully they will publish your cover and you can keep a few copies of the catalog.

I'm doing well. Just impatient with the healing foot. I want to take my new socks and moleskin out for a run tomorrow but it won't be semi-healed yet. I'm trying to wait for it to stop being sensitive to touch before I put a moleskin sticker on it.

How are you?

My recent facebook update. First one in at least a month because I like it here better.

"Running is supposed to be the cheapest of the triathlon sports... injuries and their corrective measures are getting expensive! My first year of running is turning out to be an extended wrestling match. Hopefully I will correct all of our differences soon, because I am not giving up!"

Take that running woes!!!
