Good morning Ghoulies!

Any party plans for tonight?

Happy New Year's Eve, Ghoulies!

No party here. We have a semi-long standing tradition of meeting a friend for dinner. He and the hubbie wear their kilts. This year I think we are going for sushi!

Tomorrow is the polar plunge, followed by a funeral for a friends mom, then a bunch of friends over for lobster. It is gonna be an odd day!

We both have to work today and tonight we just stay home and keep the dogs calm.  Around here quite a few people set off fireworks for New Years.  I don't remember that when I was a kid.  We would go outside and make noise though.

Tomorrow afternoon, my stepdaughter and her family will come for a holiday dinner and stay and play games if the granddaughter got her nap, etc.  We will have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn souffle, and black-eyed pea casserole.  Practically all starch but I just make what they all request.

Are you going to do the polar plunge even though you are sick? 

btw do you use a neti pot to help avoid the sinus infections?

What are your plans?

I think I'm staying home. We were invited to a party down the road, and he is going down with the kiddos, but I'm tired. I've been up since 4:30, and I haven't been sleeping well (the husband and kiddos being home has messed with my work/sleep schedule). It will mostly be his family down there and I really don't have anyone to talk to so staying home watching a movie or playing on the computer would suit me better.

Good morning Ghoulies!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I stayed up last night, mostly because as I was getting ready to go to bed he came home with the kiddos. My son said he wasn't feeling well, but he was just anxious because of the new year (he doesn't take change well).

We stayed up watching TV with the dogs until the fireworks in the neighborhood were done.  Dogs did quite well.  A little reaction to the noise but not too bad. 

Today we have a sit-down family dinner with daughter & family.  So DH will take dogs to the park to tire them out and I will dust & vacuum.  Then start cooking about noon.  Eat 2:30-3:00.  Hopefully play a game.  Then clean up and crash.   Actually fun times!

Morning! Yesterday was a really great day, with some sadness.

Started off with the polar plunge

Then went to my friends mom's funeral.

Then we had kids and great friends over for lobster, champagne.

Afterwards we all crammed into the living room and they made music and we all sang. fun times.

No problem... on either account. My new PJ pants have little ninjas on them. If they're comfy I may order another pair because they also had skulls and crossbones, and BACON. I may get the bacon ones for the boy for his birthday (then I can wear them, too).

Sounds like a good time, well, except for the funeral part. Are you feeling better?

I am not 100 % yet, but I feel way better than the stepped in pile of poop feeling I had.
