Happy pedaling!

Jealous that you are doing the NYC. That looks like an awesome race.

It should be an experience.  It's the largest tri I've ever done, so that may be problematic for transitions.

To be honest, I signed up mostly on a whim.  I've lived in Virginia, which is way closer to NYC than when I lived in Wisconsin, for 4 years and have still never been there.  It was a good way to make my husband take a long weekend and go together.  Plus, it's the weekend before my birthday, so that helped convince him it was a good idea.

I think the swim is WITH the current, too.  Supposedly one of the fastest swims out there

How was the trainer session?

Yep, and still wetsuit legal!

Trainer was fine, although that was one boring stage.

Kendra - glad they got the Carrels built - sorry you have to work another 12 yr day - bleh

Jen - have fun on the trainer - or are you back?  I can relate to how you're feeling about packing for the tri, when I did the hyvee one in June, I had to remember to bring everything from PA to NE and then remember again going to IA

Cat - nighty Night!

Scott - you should take your kids to Omaha to the zoo, it's awesome, one of the top in the nation

Hi everyone else - I'll catch up more after the next meeting

Spokes - 2008-07-16 10:00 AM The humidity and elevation (DSM is at 1K feet) and heat are killing me on the run.

Ugh... we actually got a nice break from the humidity here yesterday. It was a cool 93 degrees.. if that exists.

Oh, and you probably missed the post, Scott, but a Trace Patrolman pulled a guy over for passing to close to me yesterday. It was pretty awesome. Well, the dude getting pulled over was awesome, the inches he was from my handlebars was not.

That is awesome... and I hope the jerk gets the maximum fine.

Wow! Yay! You went to my blog?

For some completely inexplicable reason, I thought doing my first Ironman in temps up to 110F and near-total humidity with lots of big hills would be an excellent idea.

Much of it is that I'm really, really, really cheap. So's Malaysia, both race and country (and my sis can swing free accommodations), and I'd be paying for a plane ticket through there anyway to go back to Indonesia.

Wish I could tell you I was doing something cool like watching the boring TdF stage, but instead I was shoving my mother out of the house and trying to get my life back.

Mothers...can't live with em.

I'd love to jock strap!  Actually, I REALLY wish I could.  That would be a totally new experience for me in that part of the world.

I am feeling much more fond now that she's 4 hours down the road.
