kns57 - 2010-01-08 3:13 AM Hello Nibbs and Happy New Year.

Went to California to visit my daughter and grandkids.  Caught a cold from the plane and just as I was leaving CA, two of the grandkids started sneezing.  I'm really hoping that I did not get all 4 of them sick.  That would be awful for my daughter.

My son-in-law goes to Saudi Arabia the end of January for a year and my daughter will basically be a single mother with 4 kids for that year.  It is going to be tough.  And hard for us to help from 3000 miles away.

Wow that is tough! Im sure she can at least call you for  vent/stress relief etc when she needs it so that will help some.. what does her husband do? I was thinking military but I know a lot of international companies would have offices there too...

No, he is in the army.  He should be able to come home possibly twice for leave.  One time the army will pay the airfare, the other would be on his own dime.  We told him that Tanya would be getting the care packages as she will need them more than he will over the next 12 months.

haha well Im sure he took that well!!! I hope it all goes smootly for them and the 12 months fly past!

mchally - 2010-01-08 9:52 AM Hey folks...I have been working on sorting out my little health insurance mess...

So far I am looking at $995 in bills that they will not pay.  The papers they sent me are worded poorly (legal mumbo jumbo) so there are another 4-5 visits that I am not sure what the status is.  I put in a phone call, but they have a reputation for not returning them.
It looks like all the paperwork my dr and I submitted for a transfer of inpatient visit coverage to outpatient visits may not have processed in time to cover any of my appointments.  Convenient for the insurance company...

OOOOOhhh

I just got a call back from the gal at the insurance company...she is going to push the date back a bit so it covers more visits as well as covering my psychologist if he writes up a clinical summary.

Thats fantastic Mel!

It is just wet and dreary here.

I am going to earn a bit of money today by helping a family friend paint a closet.

I finally got my pay check.  It is just in time...my car is running on fumes!

That sounds like good news.

My hubby is dealing with insurance crap.  He had a knee operation.  The insurance covered the Dr. but would not cover the facility where the dr. operates from.  STUPID!  That is the only place he operates.  So they are saying we owe 3K.  Like hell, the dr's office told us the insurance was approved.  We are fighting this.

Sitting home.  Day 8 of being sick.  I'm sick of being sick.  No fever yet, so I think I'm clear for the flu.  Just a nasty cold/crap that won't go away.

How frustrating!  I had surgery a few years back and it ended up being a good bit more than I expected.  There were 7 or 8 different bills...dr, hospital, anesthesiologist, labs, etc.

EVERYTHING is tacked on, even down to the gauze pad or band-aid.  They account for it all, one way or another.  I'm surprised they don't keep track of the number of toilet flushes, though.  REALLY!
