Only Deeder would question that - let me just say, I wear pants.  And shorts.  Yes.  Pants AND shorts.  There.  Clarified.

Symbicort, Omnaris (recent switch from Flonase that wasn't working), alavert or claritin, zyrtec and singulair ....yes, really.....all of them.  Prilosec has some histamine blocking properties so that's on my med list too.  And the allergy shots that are leaving knots in my deltoids......I have my own nebulizer now.......and proventil for rescue.

Yes, all thei junk for asthma makes me feel really OLD & SICK.

Are any of these a steroid-based med?  I've heard that a steroid-type may help subside the asthma issues.

My youngest sister, who is older than me, had full-blown asthma back in the 60's and 70's and had very severe attacks.  I remember that my Mom had to give her "suppositories".  She's been in remission since the early '80s, but always had to carry an inhaler.

Symbicort and Flonase are steroids. Suppositories for asthma? Hm. Isn't that the wrong end????   ... 

Yes, this was back in the late '60's/early '70's - different methods/doctors/etc., but, after doing a Google search, it looks like suppositories are still used but not as common (progesterone is one type mentioned).

Advair 250/50.  I bump that up to the 500/100 dose when I have a cold or other respiratory infection.  Oh, and Zyrtec.  Plus albuterol before I go out to run.
