Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge 2 days left until the end of this challenge! Crushers are in the lead! I'm thankful that I put my portfolio as a goal because today the end of month pressure helped me complete some more of it. I got the rough draft of my table of contents completed and finished selecting my artifacts (this plus the teaching philosophy I completed earlier in the month gives me 3/4 for the portfolio!). All I need to do to get the fourth point is write reflections on my artifacts... We will see if that happens tomorrow.

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Another update: Went and talked to the cops today. Apparently they didn't have a report of the first break-in so I told him about that, we ran through the facts and his conclusion was that its one of the roommates. Here are the flaws: None of us were there for both break-ins, everyone has alibis, and all of us have had things stolen. I'm so sick of dealing with this. I told him it couldnt be one of us and he had very little to say besides i'd be surprised to find out how many times it happened. He practically refused to believe it could be someone in the office or that someone had a key to get in. Our case is on administrative closure so now investigation will be conducted at all. |

I'm so sorry you're going through all of this. I think the policeman is letting past experience taint his opinion of who stole things from your apartment. Most of the time it is someone you know, friend, roommate, family. I'm also letting past experience influence my thoughts on this. Nothing will be done about this by the police or by the office/company. I think your best option is to move someplace where you will feel safer. I guess another option is to take matters into your own hands. Find a friend or someone that can install some small web cameras and record what is going on. Then if something happens again, you can review it and take it to the police. |

Then if something happens again, you can review it and take it to the police. I think this needs more than just a web cam though. There's no telling what the person will do next time he breaks in. If he is a stalker, and he decides to escalate it...... It sounds like this apartment has multiple problems: a back door that doesn't lock correctly, and a management company that hands out keys to anyone and that doesn't seem overly concerned with residents' safety. If this were me, I think I might: a) fix the back door so it's secure b) change the locks on your own c) look for a new place to live, as Paul suggested d) then, the day that I moved out, I would put the old lock back on the door and return the key to the office. Is the place owned by the management company? Or do they just manage it? If it's owned by someone else, you might be able to contact that person and let them know what's been going on. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Amusing story from my blog today: Funny....putting the strength training to practical use....I had to get bottles of water to donate for the show choir trip to NY so when I ran to the store for a few things tonight I picked up a couple flats. Walked to the register to pay for them and the girl looked at me and said "I can barely pick up one of those" Yes, both at once from across the store sans cart. Rasoul would be proud. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge So here's what we're planning on doing. a. Harriet's brother in law is calling to talk to them. He works as a project manager and handles leases almost on a daily basis and won't let them BS him. He's going to try to get things worked out for us so they pay us back for the alarm and our locks and allow us to have them on the doors. b. Harriet and Blair are moving out in May and Jaclyn and my lease isn't up until the end of July. James and I are moving in together so I'm hoping we can sign a lease and get into a place early this summer. He will be working at home all summer but I know he worries about me here alone and Jaclyn and I could stay in the new apartment until the lease is up and she moves back home. c. We're getting a case together to send to their corporate office. Once all this is together (hopefully end of this week) we're sending it to them to make them aware of the situation. We just want to have everything together before we send this. |

Master 1346 Gold Coast | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Hi guys, Ive been MIA for a few days, super busy and my Mum is staying with me - yay, but so difficult to fit everything in and have enough time for my Mum too! Congrats to everyone who killed the challenge this month. I sucked majorly. I had too many bike issues and I underestimated my fight recovery time and my shins are still very sore so sprinting is not fun! As always I am up for anything next month |

Master 1346 Gold Coast | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Oh, I see the names are in the survey later on anyway - doh! Well, I feel kind of guilty having a decent week here when many are having bad ones but I am having a pretty productive week work wise, lots of great meetings and offers of support for fellowship applications I am making. Also got some birthday money to spend on a flash new bike helmet and probably a tri suit I am also lusting after a new bike but need to wait until the end of the year. Temptingly the one I want has been offered to me at about 2/3 price because its a demo model and they have even offered for me to test ride it for our whole Easter weekend!!! I am going to say no, I will want it too much I think! |
