8 mile recovery run this morning.

Rudypoo that is awesome.  I'd love to race for a cause like that.  Cindy miscarried at 24 weeks with our first child and I know how hard that was so I can't imagine a still birth.  It would eat me alive.  Great cause.

Alternate Jeff, good luck with surgery.  I've never gone under the knife so I know this would freak me out.

Sarah and Jason -- Helmets were sent out this morning!

Jeff R. -- Surgery is tough but you're in good shape so it should all come back quickly.

Anyone else have expereience coming back from surgery?

Got in some stength training at gym today. and 20 mins of stair climber, only because they only have the sit down bikes.  blah!! Plan to get on trainer tonight and tomorrow.  Tomorrow will be my last day most likely, as I should probably take Thursday off to assure there is no chance of dehydration going into surgery. I am not looking forward to Friday afternoon, when I am driving home from surgery. Getting there, and being put under, I have no fear of, Ive done it plenty of times, as sad as that sounds.

I really hope to find a way to at least get on the bike trainer within 7-10 days post surgery. I'll keep everyone posted. Luckily I am a pretty forgiving person, but the closer I get to surgery, the angrier I get at the darn Meth Addcit that hit me!! God bless her!!!

On a positive note, I just ate a "fun size" Snickers Peanut Butter.  Diet has been exceptionally well, until someone just threw that on my desk.  Mix one of those in your Kale shake Jen!!!  I won't tell anyone!

Rizer,

I went under the knife 16 years ago to have my right shoulder repaired I had chronic dislocations due to to many years of wrestling. The 2 things I told the Doc before surgery is one I must be able to swim again because i do traiathlons and 2. I must be able to throw a ball to my kids in the future. I am happy to say that today i can do both and have had no problems since.

Hang in there and do what the doctors say don't try to come back to early it could make things much worse!!

Jesus said by my strips you are healed trust in the Lord, He will get you through this.!!

Hi everyone ... finally back and a ton of pages to read.

I am a surgical veteran ... do exactly what you are told!  Don't push it until they tell you you can and if there is any pain, STOP!  My ACL surgery was the worst not only cuz it was the most painful, and the screw was backing itself out immediately into the IT band, but also because I got patellar tendonitis, badly, from pushing too much too soon!!!

Whatever you do, don't push it.  Shoulders are known for being the most painful unfortunately, but hopefully you will have great drugs.  Good luck!

For the girls in the group -- Oiselle, who makes fantastic run gear is having a huge sale ($10 shorts and shirts).  Here's the link:

Some busy days at work and computer issues have kept me offline.  Hopefully things will settle down tomorrow.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Heading to the gym in the freezing rain to lift - easy run - swim - go to work.

Work has been super busy the last few weeks, but we had a trail stayed late yesterday so hopefully things will calm down a bit.

You obviously have not been to a lululemon store.  They have clothes for guys too.

And the reason is because we are suckers.  At least I am.  But the lululemon stuff is amazing.  I like Nike too, but it's not my go to workout choice anymore.

No I haven't, and won't.  I have compression tops from Academy, like Dicks Sporting Goods but more warehouseish, and they work as good as my Under Armour stuff so $17 vs. $50.  I hit up the New Balance outlet store and get shorts at like $15 a pop too.  Oh I do have some 2XU Elite tights that I got 50% off.  Still paid $70.  Damn near made me sick.

I do most of Cindy's clothes shopping so I just get dumbfounded by the prices.  You can find really nice brand name guys buttondowns for $30 ish on sale at Macys.  A nice blouse on sale at say Ann Taylor is double that.  Makes no sense.

2k+ in the pool this morning and lifted afterwards.  Will get an hour or so in on the trainer at lunch.  My semi sick kiddo was up at midnight, 3:30, and while I was at the gym.  I'm tired.

I bought Shaun some Lulu guys stuff and he constantly wears it.  He'll wear dirty lulu shorts over clean anything else.  It just feels so very nice.
