I am so tempted to say " That should make your husband happy Gygy".

But I won't say it, because I am trying to be a good boy for at least 15 minutes this week.

Umm, it takes me an hour to swim 1000 yards. Poor body postion, poor breathing technique so I rest a lot. And I HATE to swim. Splash around in the pool, Marco Polo = good.

Swim 100 meters at a time = the suq.

Allright...go ahead and bump my swim goal up to 20,000 yds...that way if Jim and Brett hit it before I do, I can accuse them of being sandbaggers...

Nah, you can't, we all know the real sandbagger... with the avatar to prove it...

OK, Sal, I'm going to need warm weather when I come to Minnesota.  Thanks in advance.

PM me your plans.  I'm assuming you'll be staying near Chanhassen.  I can always arrange din din with the BT group on Monday night.  Axel's is right in Chanhassen.  Business write-off?  Kidding...

LOL... don't think that will fly.  Chanhassen?  Whatever makes you think I'll be in Chanhassen???  Hee hee...maybe...

I will let you know once I get my marching orders.  I'm supposed to arrive Monday night but I maybe can fly in earlier and plan on dinner.  We shall see...

Things kids say to a friend of mine:

When picking up the car at the repair shop my son tells the mechanic he can't have the paper # back that they have hung from the rearview. Because "Mommy needs it to race"
  • ..
  • While watching the food network or something they announce a chocolate marathon all day... To which the kids jumps off the couch in Unison and yell "Can you do that one? Mom ~ Mom a chocolate marathon! PLEASE!!!" Husband chimes in w/ it sounds much better than the mud one I like so much

Why yes, yes I DO have a graduate degree from Johns Hopkins.  There are some good doctors there, too .

Not even close on Minnesota.  Patience, Grasshoppa.  I can't reveal all of my secrets just yet.

    Hilarious!!!!!!

Every time we pass a cyclist while driving somewhere my daughter says, "do you know that guy, Mom?".  Funny thing is, usually I do!

Nekkid ride today. Only bike computer for info. Cotton T shirt and running shorts and bike helmet, on the bike.

Am sure I looked like real geek to the neighbors. On the other hand seeing me riding and running in spandex normally, they already probably think I am weird.

Come to think of it, anybody doing anything more strenous than than walking the dog is odd.

Nothing?  We got nothin' allll day??

What's everyone up to traininwise?  For me it was swimmy swim today.  That was followed up by an utterly romantic evening of cooking dinner (for which Boy Toy was fashionably late due to Atlanta traffic so the Exhibits and I dined alone since A had to be somewhere at 7) and driving A's carpool to the dance studio.

LOL, yes, yes of course you were all busy being romantic!  No problem on the Boy Toy... it couldn't be helped.  Since the kids' activities were still on last night we were not planning to celebrate until this weekend anyway.  It's alllll good.

I have to take a forced rest day today.  This does not sit well with me, in case you were wondering.  Grrrrrr...

I had a quick workout yesterday due to our lovely weather and school being delayed a couople of hours. I grew up here, and whenI was growing up they NEVER started school late because of a storm the night before. I did manage to get a little wralk in, though, and guess what? No pain! And I can still walk and have no pain today. A little stiff in the joints, and lots of popping, but I can live with that!

    Rest day before tomorrow's race.

Good thing the swim is short, at the end and in a pool. I still dread the swimming.

That and something like 12 u turns on the bike. Just get up to speed have to scrub it to make the turn. Fun.

Lol, just found out the second half of the run is a single track uneven dirt trail through shrubs.

    And the run is first.

This ought to be fun. And single track means the bike and swim will be bunched too.

Race was fun. They won't have the results posted for a few days.

A few more hills than I expected. And the bike mount, dismount was about 200 yards from the bike corrals.

I need to learn how to climb hills with more speed. Hills were moderate, not hard at all, just didn't carry much speed up the hill.

Passed a lot of folks on the downhills. A lot of them coast and don't pedal hard on the downhills.

Boy Genius left race belt with race bib on during the swim.

It was a reverse tri so swim was last.
