Can't speak for everyone, but this Ghoulie had a meeting with an applicant this morning that was actually very productive. He's another SEAL wannabe and one of his issues is getting access to a decent pool that's near a place he can run. Short story, I'll be taking him to the pool this Friday, and hopefully weekly, to hook him up. I'm also hoping some of his speed will rub off on me! I also talked with the Executive Officer of the EOD Training Unit over here while drinking coffee this morning. He showed up to Starbucks on his bike and I struck up a conversation with him. I ended up getting invited to join his riding club on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, which is pretty awesome! I just hope I can hang with them, because they're all pretty bad-azz dudes. how cool is that TOM. woot! and i have on good authority that youre pretty bad-azzed yourself. go, hang and have FUN! stacieb |

I have to buy everything online.  thats totally sucktastic ANN. the stores here are JUST getting more of a selection of tri gear. some of the LBSs are getting on board. PGH used to have a tri only store, but the owner left the area and closed the store. BOO! but some of the employees of the store bought what was formerly an LBS. they hope to have an EXTENSIVE tri only section, including apparel. it will be sweet once its 'fully stocked' next time you come to PGH.... stacieb |

Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! ooooh. i dont think i mentioned. twice year the Y does lifeguard training. they are always looking for lifeguards to work during the day/during the school year. turns out because im already employed at the Y i can take the training at cost ($50 vs $150) and be certified. that way if come the fall im still subbing at the school i can have a secondary source of income at the Y. how sweet is that? the only 'downside'....theres lots of days w the training....some days right after the kids get home from school. so a few weeks im gonna be dragging them to the Y, which i hate to do, but.... totally temporary. nice when the pieces of life fall into place. and this way....when the GHOULIES have a POOL/MARGARITA PARTY i can 'supervise' and save all your drunk azzes. There may be a short bike ride when I get home, too. My house should be all shiny clean when I get home. I asked my SIL, who cleans houses, to hit mine this week before all my Easter guests arrive. She recruited her sister and the two of them cleaned my house today. I should have her do it on a more regular basis so I don't have to!!! |
