It's June 30th, and the June Challenge is ending! (Are you happy? Or sad?)

PLEASE UPDATE THE SPREADSHEET WITH YOUR FINAL TOTALS BY MIDNIGHT (LOCAL TIME), ON TUESDAY JULY 1st.

(This way, everyone has a full day after the end of the challenge to log their training, and update their totals.)

I'll pull the spreadsheets on Wednesday, and calculate the final standings.

Looking for another Challenge? Check out the July "Tour de France" (TdF) Bike Challenge!

I had a great time, and even though I thought I was setting the bar fairly low, it turned out that life (and my body) had other plan for me. I hit 100% on the bike and run, but missed it on the swim. Sorry! I did my best when I was able. And I enjoyed being a part of this team!

Yes, it has been a great challenge with a bunch of great teammates!  I was able, for the first time, to hit 110% for a goal (running - thanks to chaperoning child #1 at the aquathlon yesterday) and also did all of my strength training.

Didn't make it for bike or swim (low 80's on each).  I lost out on a few swimmies due to weather, undone chores, and closed pools (not once, but TWICE pools were closed due to poo.  Different pools, too.)  Bike was under because I had missed a week and then was trying to make it all up in the last half of the month.  Since I do the bike inside on a drainer, several evenings I was just too tired to do it.

So, for this month, and down the road, consistency in training is  the lesson I'll take from this challenge.

Hope to see you all in the Tour de France this month!

I feel like I graduated and will never see my best friends ever again! Glad the thread remains alive - at least until the next challenge.

I heart you guys !

Time to pick out an avatar - I could leave Mt. Hood up and just say that if I lived by Mt. Hood I would have had more drive and would have swam and lifted a couple more times. Do you think the challenge rule enforcers will allow that?

ha!  remember you are talking about Dee

True - So I picked a Colorado state flag - because I would be around all sorts of triathlete's from BT if I still lived there and would be more team oriented and more supportive if I trained with others instead of alone!

I already changed it based on the fact that it is an awesome looking flag anyways!

LOL!  I can't decide what to change mine to

Did you draw this yourself?  That is hilarious!  You better TM that before TinkerBeth gets ahold of it!

LOL!!!  She is free to use it! If I had a longer lunch hour I would do one of the whole crew being "motivated" by the prod.

Ooooooooooooooo - I HAVE A NEW AVATAR!

Um, although I may have to wait until next month to use it, because I have a feeling that a different team may have won the challenge.... Although - IF I HAD USED THE CATTLE PROD ON MY TEAM MORE, well, then we would have won.

Although I still like the idea of everyone changing their avatars to a picture of Sal....

Ok, I changed my avatar - I would have loved to have gotten more time in on my actual bike rather than spinning classes - it would have made me even faster in the race

June Challenge FINAL RESULTS

Wow, this was a close challenge! EVERY team was over 90%! GREAT JOB, EVERYONE!

And now the moment you've all been waiting for..........

FIRST PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 102.4%
SECOND PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 98.8%
THIRD PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 93.6%
FOURTH PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 90.4%

Congratulations to the Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT)!
For the month of July, Team TNT will display a signature line: "My team won the June Challenge!"

And now for the other teams.... Since the team percentages were so high, I decided to look more closely at the spreadsheets.

Kamikaze Geckos - if your lowest member's percentage is dropped, the team's average is 101%. Therefore, your team may NOT display the winning signature line, but there will be no "penalty avatar."

Cheesecake Lovers - if your lowest member's percentage is dropped, the team's average is 97%. Therefore, your team may NOT display the winning signature line, but there will be no "penalty avatar."

Avatar Avengers - if your lowest member's percentage is dropped, the team's average is 93%. Therefore, your team may NOT display the winning signature line, but there will be no "penalty avatar."

Congratulations everyone! This is the first time since I started doing the challenges that EVERY TEAM has been over 90%! Great job!

Have a great July! And if you want more challenges in July - check out the TdF Biking Challenge, and the Casual Run Challenge. Both threads are stickied to the top of the forum.

- Dee
