After fiddling with it all day with varying degrees of 'not starting' I (more like my father) decided it was most likely the battery. I bought a new battery and all is well. It was interesting...my dad has always fixed any mechanical issues my family has come across, but now he is in a wheel chair with limited speech and never leaves the house. I was at my parents place when it decided to croak. I spent hours going back and forth between the house and my car trying this and that...trying to decipher my dad's questions and instructions and then describe the various results. Plus it was raining. All and all an interesting day. My mom took off for 5 days. I am taking care of my sister with the assistance of two other respite care providers. There is an agency providing round the clock nursing care of my father. The shift is about to change and then, after giving some basic instructions, I get to go to bed! |
