(ya. im at a coffee shop again...heading over to OTB bicycle cafe a bit later....) just met this guy. has the coolest tatoo on his forearm. looked new. so i asked him about it. theres ALWAYS a story behind tatoos. he was about my age. so thought. interesting. the tatoo is so new. he said a year ago he turned forty so he decided, fck it, he was gonna get a tatoo. what's funny. ive been contemplating getting one for the VERY same reason. in fact, the part of the city where i am has as many tatoo parlors as it does bars as it does coffee shops. when i was driving to where i am now, i thought fck it, im just gonna stop and get tatooed....that....or pierced. [no worries....im not gonna. not today anyway. but...it is something ive ALWAYS wanted to do, but never felt the 'freedom'. i will. at some point. no doubt.] how funny is that i bumped into someone here, who did the exact thing that im contemplating (have been contemplating for a long time....) his tat is a rose compass. he told me how he looooves to travel, and shared some of his best trips. i swear i meet some of the most FASCINATING PEOPLE. i need to make this an occupation somehow. write a book, perhaps. a series of them COFFEE SHOP CONVERSATIONS. COFFEE SHOP RELATIONSHIPS COFFEE SHOP CAREERS. do you know how much LIFE occurs in a coffee shop. i guess im privy to it cuz i spend so much time in them. Ok I have a shark on my back. I got that years and years ago when I was scuba diving. I have 2 sea turtles on my right thigh. One is red, the other is blue, they are my kids birthstone colors. I have a hoop in the upper part of my ear and I have my belly button pierced. I want to get another piercing or two in my ear but they will wait until Fall when I'm not in the pool so much. |

I'm such a rebel. Will catch up tomorrow but wanted to say how glad I am Robin's biopsy came back ok. YEAHHHH!!!!!! Waiting for those results are seriously tough. Been there and am with you sister. PS, I have no tats. But my mother got one for her 60th b'day. Maybe I'm just waiting until the time is right. See you when the dust settles at work. |
