Hmm, the floors--no dice those nurses have no autonomy they have to get permission to do what's right for the pt. I just do it and ask if there's a doubt why it wouldn't be ight. Maybe ICU again, did it before just not sure cause it's been 13 years since I thouched some of that stuff--I know it's like remembering how to ride a bike it will come back but I don't know...Office nursing? I've done it, it's fun, there is room for some autonomy--but no money like what I get now...The insurance thing--money is close to what I make and NO weekends, off shift or on call time. So it wouldn't inerfere with training/racing... |

Had a lovely, festive & fattening two days...but I started my half-mary plan on Monday (well, kinda - I've already made adjustments) and I'm excited for the new year to start. For the first time ever, Younger Monkey really got into the presents (almost 3 years old), but she was overwhelmed and confoosled by mid morning and had a serious major meltdown late afternoon (even after a long nap)...and then slept 13 hours before I woke her up for breakfast today. Hopefully she'll have a better perspective. In-laws are in town for 3 more days and then my dad & his wife come through New Years - which doesn't matter since we'll just be sitting on the couch watching bowl games from now until then (except when I get off the couch to run or swim).  Have a fantastic day after Christmas, all! I'm gonna hit the gym for a run later today (its cold and its raining and I doubt I'll be able to make myself run outside). |
