I'm working from home this week - which should give me plenty of time to play on BT, pad my post count, multi-tasking, spend quality time with my friends!

News from the medical front:  I got the results from my doctor: no celiac disease, Crohn's disease, or H. pylori infection.  I could still have an ulcer that didn't show up on the scan (less likely) or just be having problems with reflux.  I'm taking acid blockers, which seem to be helping, and going back in about 4 weeks.

seriously, glad to hear that you got the results back and that it's treatable and not more serious!

Morning Nibbs!  Great family time this weekend.  Glad I rescheduled my marathon to go camping and fishing with the boys.  My son leaves for college in the fall, and my youngest son is already 11...where did the time go?...sigh...

Yanti is BT Triathlete of the month!! 

Congratulations Yanti!!  That's very cool and well deserved.   

I was getting ready to do an experiment and found out that I am missing one of the reagents I need to do it.  Now I can't start until that gets shipped to me.

Oh, and the guy who does the ordering for the lab is on vacation in Lithuania for the next 3 weeks!  Argh!  I wish he would have actually responded to my email before he left! 

bummer - so now what happens? 

I wait.  They are trying to get it out today, so I might have it tomorrow or Wednesday.  They have to talk to some other people about the missing software license and see if they can cancel the old one and send a new one.

do you have stuff to work on in the meantime? 

Yeah.  Have to get a presentation ready for Thursday.  I'd rather do real work though. 

I hear you there - speaking of which, I have a big presentation I need to prepare for the 28th

Maybe.  He's from Lithuania if that helps at all.

I attended a class we hosted here at work on Saturday morning...  Raw Foods and Nutrition presented by Rawesome Living...

It was very motivating for me... she brought a lot of stuff from her own kitchen... I was really impressed with her sprouts, coconut oil (comparison shocked me between all natural and partially processed), she made chocolate from cocao beans and coconut oil, and the greatest was...
Carrot pulp, ginger, dill, olive oil, Amino Acid (like soy sauce), no salt season all, fresh garlic, all belended together to make a "paste"  she served it on lettuce.  I wanted to was add shrimp and roll in nori.... IT WAS FABULOUS!!!!

Now I want a juicer, a bean grinder, and a dehydrator.... and more time to make it all!!!

That sounds like a really interesting class.  I am working on eating less processed food and refined sugar, so I bet she had tons of useful info.

Did you get a recipe for the paste?  Or is it kind of a trial and error thing to get the right amounts of things together?
