So I see an earring on the floor -- just as it goes ZIPPPP into the vacuum cleaner. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. If it makes you feel better, I vacuumed up my wedding ring once. Thankfully we have a bagless vac and I could go through the dirt in the canister to find it. oh no - I bet that was sort of a tense moment
Yeah, but I found it. My husband lost his ring in his shirt pocket for about 5 months. That was more annoying. oops! did you find it? or should I even ask? Whoops. That answers that.. |

(The micro was a little sketchy...) I bought the hamburgers pre-made. The chicken & veggies pre-cut. Not so much cooking. ahhhhh!

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVIII) - come join us :) So my question fo the day has had most folks saying "don't split the workout". I'm asking Nibbs what I should do. I really don't want to get up before 5AM to do 1:45 on the bike in one shot. I was thinking about splitting the ride tomorrow, doing part in the morning and again after dinner. I do have another ride the same length on Saturday I could do all in one shot so it's not like I'm blowing off doing the distance/time at once. PLUS, 1. it's now pouring out there so it would mean drainer...2. even with my little headlight my black/silver bike on poorly lit (now wet) roads with no shoulders sounds both dangerous and crazy...What do the Nibbs think? |

Did you ever find it? It was on the 17th fairway at a course at Myrtle Beach. I had put it in my pocket with my college ring because my fingers were swelling. Before I stepped onto the tee box, I put my hand in my pocket to make sure they were still there. Okey-dokey. Had a really nice tee shot, got in the golf cart, got out to make my second shot, put hand in pocket, only college ring in there Crawled around the tee box and fairway on my hands and knees until the sun went down. Left word at the club house, even checked the next day, no ring |

Is this part of your Oly training? If so, over-distance endurance is important. But remember, an hour on the drainer is like an hour and a half on the road. If you can handle 1:15 on the drainer, you should achieve the purpose of the workout. But I wouldn't split it in two because the rest from am to pm kind of defeats the endurance building. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVIII) - come join us :) Hmmmm, maybe I'll just put coach Troy's aero base builder on tomorrow evening so I'm not fighting dark roads on either end. It puts me at 2 hrs for the ride and in safety. Just have to be well organized. I have a nasty headache and could use some sleep. Getting used to 2 a days is harder than I thought it would be. Maybe it's cause they're also longer 2 a days than I'm used to doing. |

I'd split it. But I'm also not doing ANYTHING like what Pam is doing. For me, it's not about competing in Tri's. It's about being healthy. So, if I split a workout, I can still be happy that I got some workout time in. (Versus sitting on the couch all day.) If you're working out to compete in Tri's though, then Pam is the one with the good advice. |
