My podiatrist spoke to the radiologist who did my MRI and I have a significant rupture in the plantar fascia. He is about 99% sure I cannot race. I literally don't know what to do right now. In my worst nightmares I couldn't have imagined this happening to me. I don't know what to say, K. I can at least give you a big *HUG* for support. I'm so sorry to hear about this. Thanks Phil. I could use a hug. |

Luckily I'll be wearing my prescription sunglasses during the race so I won't get blinded. |

If its saves you coin to not bother with bike shipping and all, might not be worth it, but if I trained and paid for all this stuff thus far, I would at least go play a bit and then watch all the other suckers suffer on the run while drinking a margarita on State Street. |

I am heading to the dinner with another guy that is racing, but no families... more than welcome to join us if you would like. We will both be at the Gatorade Swim Friday morning to meet up with folks (swimming first, then hangin' out). |

I'll be on the swim for sure. I want to bike and will ship it and do it if they let me. Tribike offers refunds but WTF, might as well. I'm just afraid that withdrawing will be the hardest thing I've ever had to do and I'll be tempted to give the mary a try. And as much as I'd love to think I could watch people suffering while enjoying a drink, I want to be out there suffering too It's going to be one of the hardest days I've had but I want to experience as much as possible. I put too much into it to just walk away. |
