Note to self.. when someone says they don't want special treatment.... they sometimes do. When someone says they just want some time to be alone, that is not necessarily the case and it is YOUR responsibility to know the difference between the two.

I HATE drama. I really really do.

Oh, and yes, I erred.. who knew that the answer was yes to all choices. special treatment AND not. Left alone AND not.

I think some people attract their own storm clouds. (That is something I could use to remember.... don't attract clouds).

Hope that you recover from the drama.  It is hard to sometimes figure out what the person really wants.

My migraine is still hovering.  I'm at work and they are testing the fire alarm system.  Ha Ha!  As soon as the next supervisor walks through that door, I will be heading home to a nice dark room.  Unfortunately no one will be in until maybe noon or 1pm.

Oh Good god. A fire alarm AND a migraine? That is torture. I am sure that is against the Geneva convention.

I guess that means the girl is better. That is good! I am off. Gotta get a quick shower before work time (I'll be late) then off to a staff meeting about an hour away and then, hopefully, a deep tissue massage. Hopefully that will help the back/leg issues.

Have great days!

She doesn't have much of an appetite yet, and her energy level is lower than normal, but she said she's feeling better. The rash was diagnosed yesterday by her pediatrician as Fifth's disease. It's relatively harmless to her, but we need to keep her away from her cousins, my niece is 7 months pregnant, and already having problems, if she would get it it would be bad for the baby. She has 3 kids already whom my kids LOVE to play with. They're going to have to spend a little time apart right now.

I had to look that one up. How long till it is safe to play with the cousins. Any amount of time is L-O-N-G for a kid.

According to the paper the doc gave us, and what we found on the internet... no one knows. We talked to my niece last night, and she did some research, too, and she thinks if we can keep the kiddos apart for 2 weeks, that she should be ok. We will see. I'd like to go for a little longer, but I know it will be hard on the kids.

Good day Ghoulies.

Ann, glad to hear your daughter is feeling better.  Sorry about the fifths disease and having to stay away from her cousins.  Better safe than sorry though.

Robin, hope your meeting went well.

My migraine has tapered off.  It calmed down enough last night that I was able to go and enjoy Les Miserables last night.  Third time to see the show, but the first time that it absolutely grabbed me.  The voices were awesome.  I was going to see if I could get tickets for my hubby for Sunday, but they are all sold out and going for outrageous prices on craigslist, so that won't be happening.

Hi gouhlies. The marathon volunteer/prep has begun. A little later than the last 2 years, but that's ok. I just means I get to sit up late tonight and write discount codes on 2000 postcards. Good times. I wish there was a gouhlie or two around to play with!

I have a roaring headache today.

Probably a combo of wine with little dinner last night and the thunderstorm rolling through.

Morning Ghoulies

Happy FFFFriday.

I am off to the state park, then getting back to go to a charity dinner. The down side is the dinner is an hour away so it is a long drive home. It will be a 300 mile day.

I am taking my swimming stuff since I will be passing the pool. I may be able to get a lunch-time swim in.

Hello Ghoulies!  It if Friday afternoon.  I did get a couple of runs in yesterday and this morning.  Got to get ready for Key West.

Had a great bookclub meeting last night.  I made saurkraut Soup with beer.    It was a hit.

I'm ready for a weekend off from work.  Oh, did I tell you guys that I have another staff person retiring?  I am down so many staff hours at work it is crazy.  We might have to go to every other weekend soon, and if we do I won't be happy in the least.  Sometimes I wish I was ready to retire, but I don't want to wish away the years yet.

Hey Kendra. I hate that you are losing folks. That is silly that they won't hire folks.

I am curious on what is in sauerkraut soup..... other than beer. I have a bunch of sauerkraut I made last year and could use a new recipe.

Good morning evening Ghoulies!

Sorry I wasn't around today. I was working from home, then I went into the school for The Race For Education. My daughter did 14 laps in their hour, and I say HOUR loosely. Not bad considering she was vomiting again last night. I tried to do some with her, but the track is really rough on my back, and my knee bothered me. I think there is more going on than just tendonitis, it hurts inside my knee.

I hope everyone had a FANTASTIC FFFFriday!

Hi! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! We are HOME this weekend (no last minute trips to see the inlaws. And The Hubby is town. Yay!), and the weather is absolutely beautiful. It's sunny, blue skies, fluffy white clouds, snow capped mountains, light breeze, in the 60's kinda day. Perfection. To add to the perfection, we just bought a couple used mountain bikes off a tour guide/outdoor adventure shop in Park City. Got a good deal, and the bikes will go to the kids. I just had to try one out, in the cul-de-sac, and for some reason I thought I'd try my hand at going back UP onto the curb. I had ridden DOWN over it and my 9 year old does it all the time, so what could be so difficult, right? Right? Guess what happened? Yep. I endo-ed. No helmet. Heard some pretty good pops and cracks in my back as I contorted and landed, but I managed to NOT hit my head, and not injure myself. Some people need to learn how to ride a bike, I guess! What I did today was more of a high speed yoga. LOL.
