Good morning TANners.  Happy Friday!

First day of trout season in PA (East) tomorrow.  Woo hoo!

My terminally ill friend is staying at my house this week while she is doing some doctors appointments. We had a benefit for her last night and made about 2k to help with meds and I didn’t get home till 3am so I be tired today.

Morning Cord,  glad the event went well. 

What does she have?  I don't go to FB at all anymore, so I'm on on the up and up.

 A rare form of breast cancer called phyllodes that count’s for less than 1% of all breast concern and only 40% of that is malignant but when it is there is no current cure in western medicine. She lost insurance and now is trying to get by on disability but all the Doctors are passing her around like hot potato trying not to be the one she dies on rather than really trying to help her.

Plans for today are just basking in the Shocker victory 

Just kidding. I have to work, clean house, cook dinner, ride an hour, run 40 minutes, get to bed early for a 10K in the morning.

My office is closed today, but still needed to come in.  I Love it; its nice and quite.  Plus I can get a chance to test out the new laptops speakers..HEHE.

Then I've got a date with a pool later

Pretty cool to see the Shockers in the Final 4  oops, I guess my lack of watching basketball after the horrible Creighton loss has now been shown...

Go shockers! Elite eight.

I caught the first half of that game last night.  They're a fun team to watch!

Unfortunately for them, now they play Ohio State

My day is boring.... a few more hours of work, then hitting the market for Easter dinner stuff (making my grandfather's leg of lamb recipe... it's absolutely incredible - it haz bacon!), then hopefully talking myself into going running.  I haven't done a single workout since my HIM and I've got a HM next weekend.  Ugh.

That sucks.  Not even comparable, but I got a glimpse of that as well.  I didn't have insurance and every doctor I went to just pushed me off to someone else.

It's a combination the medical system being too compartmentalized and insurance issues.

She CAN get government pre-existing insurance.  I did.  Even for cancer (called PCIP) And there a lot of over seas doctors that are smart and a lot cheaper.

I'm sure she has looking into it so it's like the pre-schooler giving advice to the professor.  But IF this doesn't ring a bell with her, give me a call.

Kidding.  I just need ANY excuse to go back "home"...  Denver will always be my home.
