I once took care of a kid who came in by squad for a pretzel up his nose.  Yeah, it was a soggy mess that I pushed along the upper pat of the nose and got it out on his arrival. Sent the PA in to check it was gone and booted the family out.  EMS fo a prezel that got soggy!

My daughter stuck a button up hers one time.  Have the kid blow hard while you hold pressure on the unaffected side. It usually helps to get it out.  Doubt it would have helped yonger Monkey if an ENT had to go in after it.

enders_shadow - 2008-04-25 7:12 PM OK, Nibbs... My afternoon did NOT go as planned - after I told you about my cockles, my assistant found me because day care called her when they couldn't reach me. (I was teaching after all...) Anyway, Younger Monkey shoved a bead up her nose at daycare and they couldn't get her to blow it out. Blood flowed, no bead in sight. So I spent the end of the day in the ER first, and then at the ENT specialist so he could "tickle" the bead out of her nose...it was so far in, he had to go get an extra long tickler to pull it out. Ewww. No swim. No fun. But I did end up going to dinner with the Monkeys and Sugar Daddy - and ate too much and drank too much. Mmm. One margarita. One apple-tini. Buffalo chicken sandwich (with bacon & blue cheese) and french fries. MMMM.

I'm sorry your day didn't go as planned, but I'm glad they got the bead out. I have to admit, I did laugh when I read this.

I'm pretty sure I will laugh tomorrow. Today I'm still a little miffed.

Just think of how much fun it will be to tell the story when she's older.

gotta admit - i'm laughing!

been there - you will laugh tomorrow - or for sure the next day

My son stuck a pebble up his nose in Kindergarden. I guess it is a phase some kids just have to go through. The ENT got it out quicker than I was able to fill out the paperwork.

Glad you were able to have an enjoyable dinner. We too went out and ate too much. But then while you had a picnic for lunch, I had no lunch. LOL

Tomorrow we are going to one of the local shoe stores. Mizuno shoes will be there with their trailer. Thought we would check it out since we know I need to find a pair of shoes that won't agrivate my PF. Any of you wear Mizunos?

Hi Kendra!

yep, you are right - seems to be a phase they all go through

for my dd it was a raisin up the nose

for oldest ds it was swallowing a coin

for youngest ds - hmmmm, perhaps he paid attention to the stories about his older siblings!

You would think they would have it available on Friday so people could plan their weekend. Hope it goes well. Do you have an idea of the area you want to look in?

The Tour de Georgia is going on this week. I am trying to get info on tomorrows portion of the race, but I can get anything to come up with the schedule. driving me crazy. They finish up in Atlanta on Sunday, but I don't think I can get there and back before tennis. Our tennis league is crazy this time. We are in the seventh and last week of the season. One team is in first with 19 wins. We are tied for second place with 18 wins with 3 other team. Then there are two teams with 16, one with 14. Anything can happen on Sunday to determine who will actually end up with first place. crazy man.

I think they're pretty comparable to the other running shoes.  His were about $90.

Check out their website and see if they have a shoe fitter to give you suggestions to try tomorrow based on your support needs and build and stuff.  They're usually pretty good and that way you'll have an idea of where to start.
