Congrats to those that raced today...

Anyone want to buy a 9yo boy???  He has a snotty attitude so I may pay you to take him...

Maybe. Is he nice and plump?

Oddly despite a steady diet of lettuce, carrots, chicken, kraft mac & cheese, waffles, donuts, cereal, steak, bologna and buttermilk (white) bread..  he is tall, lean and solid muscle..  I can't beleive at 9 the kid has a 4-pack going..  can run an 11min mile and can do 30 pullups..

Huh. Too bad. So much for that plan. Well, at least you have a kid healthy enough to be snotty I know there are other challenges you guys face, but you're a great mom.

Spent the day working around the house, then went for a 9-mile run. I've never run 9 miles before in my life. Crazy thing is I felt great afterward. I'm doing a half marathon in October so I've been ramping up the running...

3 months ago I hated running. Now I'm hooked.

Dude, new cars are the devil. Buy used and let the first owner pay all the depreciation.

You could be in an '04 330i sport if you wanted to be.

New cars aren't so bad if you plan on keeping them until they die.  I figure mine should last at least 10 years.

True, I think Spokes is in that 10% of the population that keeps a car more than 5 years (I am too).

Carry on.

Edit: Off to shower and watch the second half of the Bears-Colts game.

That's where I am.. (not in the shower.. but owning a car for a long time)

I'm debating on a new VW Sportwagon TDI and a used BMW 3 or 5 Serries wagon..

I HAVE been a goog girl and kept my Accord Sedan for 10 years and 200k miles And I'm not getting rid of it either.. Betty May (that's the name of my Accord) will be passed down to someone in the family.

I have a TDI and I LOVE it!  The new one should be even better - mine is a 2003. I'm really excited about the Sportwagon.  I've read a lot of really good reviews of it.

Ugh.

My legs are still amped/sore from my soccer match, and my feet hurt.

Not getting to sleep for a while...

The ones comming out this fall are supposed to be AWESOME.. The Sportwagon will be a good fit with raising a kid and racing.. I just wish it was a bit bigger.. But it should work just fine for me.. I'm a big fan of the 50ish MPG

BTW.. If you ever sell your TDI it should have AWESOME resale value.. They are hard to find and there are LOTS of people that are always looking for them..

I know.  One of the local dealers is always trying to get me to trade it in.  I like it too much to trade in.  I've had it for 5 years and it has 82,000 miles on it and it still runs great.  I haven't had to do too many repairs.  There have been a few electrical recalls, but that's about it.

I asked a guy this morning if he got his stupidity from his mom's side or his dad's.

Was that wrong of me?

Uh, you're a dbag.
