I have not disappeared and gone to the nether regions. Simply crazy at work. The Library is getting ready to change hours again this weekend. Back to 7 days a week, with some weird days (Wed 1-8 and Fri 10-3) thrown in there. So, getting the schedule set up, new staff being trained (1/3 of my staff is new to either the system or my branch) and throw in a Rotary conference, my life has been upsidedown! My son-in-law has deployed to Saudi Arabia, so my daughter is home alone with her four kids (ages 6,5,2 & 1) in California. Three thousand miles away from me so I don't feel like I'm much help to her at all. Aaarrrgh! Hey Kendra!!! I think the cure for all of the stress in your life is to go to San Diego in January and run a half marathon with us. Good mojo going out to your SIL and daughter! |

Good thinking. That would be something different, too! Who can do the most stretching sessions maybe? We need a final stretch test. Measure how far you can stretch at the beginning of the month and then at the end of the month measure to see how you improved. At the club you sit with your back to the wall, spread the legs and stretch straight forward. (Don't forget to put the measuring tape down first). Goal for the end of the month would be to be able to stretch farther than you did 31 days prior. |

It has been bothering me for awhile now, but the past few days it has gotten worse. I couldn't run last night. I got not quite a mile down the road and it was locked up so tight I could barely walk. My husband was on his way home, he stopped and picked me up. I rolled it on the foam roller last night, did some stretches, soaked in a hot bath for awhile. It is still really tight and sore this morning. I thought about bringing my hot pad into work and using it, but I didn't. I do have the heater under my desk running though. Right now my only plan is to finish in Pittsburgh, even if I have to walk it. After that I will reevaluate and take some time off if necessary. I don't care about Black Bear, my main goal for the season is the Marine Corps Marathon. I need to be healthy to start training for that in a few weeks. Ann hope it heals quickly! I hear ya though..my hip just won't get better...although me backing off might help! I was beating myself up before I got in my husbands truck. I couldn't decide if I should try to push through, or take it easy and live to run another day. I am going to try and bike tonight and see how it feels. If I can swim and bike I will do as much of that as I can over the next couple of weeks! Hope that the hamstring heals quickly with no long lasting effects. Thanks Kendra |

We are also hoping to get her out here for a few weeks during the summer. |
