Shoot, my T.I.T.S. are laughable for my race next weekend. Should I bother trying to get my bike into the shop for a tuneup? I have new tires (or Tyres as you like to say) but am most likely too much of a wuss to get them on myself. 

I could just HTFU and ride as is. Wacha all think?

How bad are your old tyres?

I'd go to my favorite mechanic and make nice to convince him to put the new tires on while you wait.  I mean, you have the tires.

FWIW, I agree with you, it's a PitA to put on new tires.

Well, I have never replaced them before. The sidewalls are fine. The tread is pretty worn but no threads are starting to show or anything. 

I personally wouldn't run brand-new tyres in a race either.

You know how to change a flat?

Oh yeah, for sure. It's just waaay harder when they are brand new and tight.

I'd call you a train wreck, although it's only day 1 of Hobbit Maid's vacation and you should see what the place looks like. And I haven't even been doing any training, or anything at all except lying around.
