Regular 61 Noblesville, Indiana | Subject: RE: Milaminute and Sparco's Group - Closed I am so proud of everyone for doing such a great job with the Challenge this month with all the illness, challenges in life and other stuff. Here are the results for the month. Hope everyone gets well and gets through the 'challenges'. Keep it going we have 5 days! BTW if you achieve a 'score' of 110% or more I've capped that total at 110%....so the top score for each event is 110%, therefore, the highest total achievable is 110%..

Looks like I've got to find a bike this week, but at least I'm not a SANDBAGGER like some who shall not be named! I made my run goal this morning, and I'll hit the swim goal no problem, but man -- I gotta get some time in the saddle! Whew! Bikes in the shop getting a tune up, new wheels, new bar tape, so I guess at least until Wednesday, I'm stuck on the stationary. I think I'll swim tomorrow and Thursday. Bike Wednesday and Saturday, and get another run (perhaps a brick) and Friday. Yea, that works...

Also, I thought I had changed my swim goal to 20,000 |

Mila your new nickname is Iron Butt. LOL! I, ummmm, really like my bike a lot . It looks just as pretty on a trainer as it does outside. Oh and there's also that whole getting paid to teach spin classes thing.
Of course, if you look at my swim and run volumes, uhhhh, not so much . Edited by milaminute 2008-02-25 1:03 PM |

As for me, as of this morning, I'm at 19550 yards on the swim. Gonna hit the cycle tomorrow, and pick up another 15-20 miles there, and then on to complete the goals! I'm gonna struggle to make my bike goal though. You'd think I'd be all over it, but I've just gotten my bike BACK from the shop, and well, most know how much I HATE the trainer!

Expert 938 Orange County, California | Subject: RE: Milaminute and Sparco's Group - Closed I am not up to date on the Mila Reality Series. I hear its got the number one ratings in it's time slot. Which 2 classes got dropped? Your cat gets frightened by the rain? I had two dogs that I adopted of the streets and they always freaked when there was lightening. They both died in the last year though. One was 15 and one was 14. The two pomeranians that came from the breeder as gifts to my g/f were never bothered by storms. I can't be accused of sandbagging as we have had 15 foot waves hitting the beaches here since Sunday. One pier is destroyed and much of the beach sand has been washed out to sea. That will kill the tourist trade here this summer. |

The classes that got dropped are both of my 5:45 a.m. classes. It's a decision that I made a long time ago but I needed to time it right. Long story that I may post in my blog one day in the near future. 2. Nope, the cat's not afraid of rain. We had terrible storms last night (lost a tree behind our house) and the Big Dumb Dog (BDD) was terrified. The cat seems to have no fear. The smaller dog was unfazed by all of it. 3. Aye yie yie about the waves/pier/tourist trade. Stay safe out there once you can get back in. |

Hope there is at least a little sand for you to bag when it's all said and done...... With that in mind, which pier got wiped out. I used to love to go out the Huntington Beach Pier. Was fun to go to that little restaurant out on the end. Surfers are probably even staying out of the water with waves that high!

Expert 938 Orange County, California | Subject: RE: Milaminute and Sparco's Group - Closed The Huntington Pier got wiped out years ago, and they rebuilt it all out of concrete. Ruby's the 50's diner is at the end of that pier now. Great views of the ocean. Darwin is at work. There are still a few surfers out there. Am sure at least one of them will be wiped out of the gene pool shortly. I don't swim well enough to deal with ocean waves yet. Most of my swimming is in the pool. Occaisonally in a lake or a protected ocean cove where there aren't any waves. Besides, ocean temps right now are 57 degrees and I don't own a wet suit. Exhibit C sure is cute Mila. Did he get your or boy toy's looks? 8 miles running today. 75 degrees at 9 am. Gonna be a hot summer. |

C'mon now, is that a real question, Cash?? True story: A friend of mine was helping with my kids one day. She took them somewhere and ran into a mutual friend of ours. First words out of his mouth: "I've never seen those kids in my life but I'd bet a whole lotta money they are Mila's!". My daughter looks just like me except with blonde hair and blue eyes. I don't think the boys look much like me at all, though others would argue that they do.
