Artemis - 2009-11-20 1:53 PM I'm so happy it is Friday!!

Anyone have plans for the weekend?

TGIF!!!
Chores here and a long run tomorrow.
Nothing exciting but it
is
not
work!

Ooh!  I have similar plans.  Well, minus the running and the chores.  So really just the not working part, but that's good enough for me

Well, I'm here. I just lost a week due to "medication issues." That's what happens when they introduce a generic version of a medication - and your insurance won't cover the name brand anymore because they're *supposedly* equivalent. (Believe me, they aren't equivalent, at least not to my body.)

Needless to say, I'm now wondering how I'm going to reach my goal this month. I won't be around the week of Thanksgiving.....

Stoopid medications.

Happy it's the weekend team!!  Just home from work and picking up Mexican take-out.  Gotta love Friday night take-out!!  Plan a looong run tomorrow then a shorter run Sunday and hopefully a swim lesson on Sunday.  I have somehow invited several people for Thanksgiving so I need to get cracking on the prep for that.....like maybe get a turkey???  Hope all is well in gabbing gobbler land.....Did Bill win the lottery??

Glad to have you back Dee.  Bummer about the medication issue.  Hopefully everything is working out now.  Did your taser collection get a workout with the insurance people?

Morning Gobblers. Got my run in this morning. I was NOT looking forward to it. It was pretty good. I need to "make hay while the sun shines" since we are having some icky weather coming in.

Have great Saturdays all!

Hey Team! Sorry I've been absent! I got sick about 2 weeks ago with bronchitis...it was fantastic...So I haven't been out there running! AH!

All that sick time did give me some time to evaluate my season planning though...and I'm thinking of trying to make some sort of re-entry into competitive swimming!!! AAHHHH!!! H-core! I`ve contacted my old coach and we will see what he says...I have this ridiculous urge to go back...I`m planning on making that and tri training happen...yay for relatively non-overlaping seasons!! I have a plan now!

Congrats to you all on your progress so far this month!!

Good morning team!  I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend.  It's rainy and gray here, but it's been a peaceful weekend for a change -- maybe the calm before the storm?

I had a "discussion" with Dee about my knee, and came to the conclusion that I need to withdraw from the challenge this month.  I am not used to being injured, and I don't want to push too soon and risk further injury.  It's running season here!  I missed a fabulous race yesterday and I don't want to sit out the entire season.  So I'm going to be a cheerleader for our team...

So, here goes:  Go get 'em Gobblers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got the spreadsheet updated with my workouts since Friday.  I'm actually on track now!!

But, I'm feeling really run down.  I hope I can finish everything for the challenge.  I don't think running or strength will be the issue.  It's the biking that I may not get done.  I'll do my best and do as much as I can, though.

I just updated the spreadsheet so that helped a little bit.  And once Dee and I figure out how to deal with my running injury my percentage should significantly increase.

Sorry to hear about the knee Cheri. Injuries are very frustrating, but it's probably smartest to just give it a rest so you're ready to go when you start ramping up your training for Spring. I'm sending healing vibes your way! Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Good afternoon Ghoulies. I just did a 5k time trial around the neighborhood in 23:21. It was a little more than a minute over my PR, but considering the hilly course and my horrendous nutrition lately I'm happy with it. Now it's time to get in a quick ST session, unclog the kitchen sink (yay!!!), and make dinner.
