Ruby's the 50's diner is at the end of that pier now. Great views of the ocean. Darwin is at work. There are still a few surfers out there. Am sure at least one of them will be wiped out of the gene pool shortly. I don't swim well enough to deal with ocean waves yet. Most of my swimming is in the pool. Occaisonally in a lake or a protected ocean cove where there aren't any waves. Besides, ocean temps right now are 57 degrees and I don't own a wet suit. Exhibit C sure is cute Mila. Did he get your or boy toy's looks? 8 miles running today. 75 degrees at 9 am. Gonna be a hot summer. What's summer? Heh . We had snow flurries here this morning. I had to wear a jacket. What a hassle...
Summer -- that time of year that they call in Minnesota "road construction" ... SAL, for your benefit, Summer is when things aren't all white..... For everyone else, Minnesota has two seasons... Winter and Road Construction. I'll never know how I survived almost 9 years in that climate...... I like warm.... No snow flurries here! Edited by UTTriman 2008-02-28 10:44 AM |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Milaminute and Sparco's Group - Closed Hmmm. I thought Utah was the place with 2 seasons (winter and road construction). I think this year, though, it's the year of the pothole. And I mean big ones, as in swallow my new pathfinder potholes. Rock chip in the middle of my windshield potholes. I look like I'm drunk swerving across the road to avoid multiple potholes, potholes. I grew up here and I don't remember it being this bad since I was a kid. And maybe not even then. *Now back to your regularly scheduled tri-related talk* |

LOL!!! Those are some potholes!! I do miss being close to good skiing (yeah, shocker, North Carolina doesn't really qualify... especially since the boy toy was born and raised in Colorado) but I don't miss the real kind of cold and I definitely don't miss potholes!! |

Expert 1157 Tremonton, Utah | Subject: RE: Milaminute and Sparco's Group - Closed Hear ya on the potholes. Well, for the record, I completed goal number two today of our "interteam mentor challenge" by completing my own personal triathlon today (and to help someone be a bit more askered).... Felt really good. Now my running and swimming goals for the month are met, and I've only got 23 miles on the bike to go. Hope to get most of that done in the morning in the form of a spinning class, and then maybe an afternoon ride on my freshly tuned, cleaned, spruced up bicycle. Now back to the important stuff, like potholes, sal's love of cheescake, and the latest episode of "As Mila's World Turns" (though you might like that, Mila) To the sickies in the team -- go get better please!

Veteran 291 Charlotte, NC | Subject: RE: Milaminute and Sparco's Group - Closed I am trying to make a come back to training. I did cycle class and swam today. Felt pretty good, but still have some congestion, that may never go away since I've had it in some form since before Christmas. My race at the end of March is going to be intresting, just get me to the finish line with no mishaps. |

My first Tri of the year will be St. Anthony's the last weekend of April! Looks like I missed sign up for the 1/2IM here At Disney World, so looks like I will be going to Macon to do the Rock and Roll 1/2IM there. That works out great for all, since my GF's parents live nearby, and its Memorial Day weekend! Should be a good weekend! UTTriman - 2008-02-29 9:06 PM Things are gonna get interesting in here. Did the Frozen Half Marathon in January as my first for 2008, then there will be a LONG break until the end of next month. 10K with my wife, Matchman (Tom) and teachertrek (Becki) are supposed to be there too: Marathon in mid-May up der in Fargo, yah, ya betcha: Then the BIG ONE (Half Ironman): http://www.libertytri.com/raceinfo.html#long%20course After THE BIG ONE, my season kind of tapers nicely, a few Olympics and a few sprints to close out the season. Yeah, it's backwards, but this is just another training year for THE BIG KAHUNA!: http://www.ironmanflorida.com/ It will depend on if I can get a slot in 2009 and if my wife and I can schedule a nice long vacation around it... Have a great 2008! |

If you are thinking of doing IMFL at some point, GC is an excellent race to do because it's held on the IM course. I can't remember if we talked about this before. I believe it's the first weekend in May. I might be there to jockstrap. Macon is a great race and quite a challenge. Read up on last year's race reports.
