Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. I was soooo excited that I stripped off my painting clothes and quickly put on my running gear and ran out the door. I didn't want to miss running in the first snow of the season! It was an absolute BLAST!!!!!!!! ETA: snowy TOPpage! Edited by ebshot 2009-10-15 2:07 PM |

TX seems to skip the snow and goes straight to ice when it is that cold. |

Master 1817 Lafayette, IN | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge Blech. Cold and rainy again. We seem to have skipped right over fall and landed in winter. I really need to move south where I'll have warm fingers and toes year round! Ah well, time to bundle up and go run 6. |

Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge wow, this is bizarre. Someone laughed when I said expect snow for the NYC marathon, and here we are with 2 weeks to go and in a winter weather advisory???? I'm heading out now for a 6 miler. Cold and wet. 38 degress and pouring. I brought long sleeves and gloves - didn't even think of running tights. |

Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge Ok - that was a cold one! Quick 6 miles - wasn't that bad with the rain, but the cold!! My legs were a nice bright pink when I finished. Didn't push too hard as I got my first, final and only 20 miler in 2 days. Why is it that on these back country roads, there can be no cars, no cars, no cars - then one from each side on a narrow part of the road? All types of confusion. |

In fact, I just checked the National Weather Service forecast and we're supposed to have a high near 90ºF tomorrow. As it turns out, I was wrong about no scheduled launches while acting as manager. There is one scheduled for Sunday, so that means I'll be held hostage by my BlackBerry that day. |

The coldest I've ran in shorts and a long sleeve tech shirt was 50 and that was comfortable. |

Not a peep. We need to send a BT Search Party to NH to taser her "find" her. I saw a slugger post in COJ yesterday... It was posted in the last day or two... She updated her blog too. I still vote that we take a road trip to NH and hunt her down. We can make her run up Mt. Washington. This time of year, it should be nice and chilly. So while she runs up the mountain, I'll just travel behind her in my toasty warm car. |

Amazing what gloves and a hat can do. |

I've yet to be able to get my run in to day so it will have to be tonight after my little one is in bed ~ how I hate running at night anymore! Erica, I have a question for you...didn't you say you used to live in Iriqois Point? Was it naval housing or was it already privatized? No, we rented a house in Ewa Beach. But it was already privatized when we were there. You looking to move? Yeah but we are only looking right now. We want to wait until Mike officially has the job and his retirement is approved before we actually get a place ~ but that should all be done by the end of the year as he is looking at his official retirement date being around 1 May! We will definitely be renting though since we still plan on moving back to CO and once he has this job then he can start looking in that direction! I really like that area out there and I've heard really good things about Iriquis point ~ I'm not sure why I thought you said you lived there...Hmmm! Oh well! So still no word on the retirement front? Bummer. Any time frame of when they will approve/disapprove? Yeah, I know, hurry up and wait! I thought you guys wanted to move back to CO. Where in CO? We are planning on vacationing out there in the summer. Estes Park. If you guys have moved by then and are close... Mike hasn't even put in his paperwork yet since he hasn't "officially" been offered the job ~ as soon as that happens then in goes the request. We do want and WILL move back to CO but this is just too perfect to pass up. As soon as he has the job and is in the GS system then he will start looking for jobs in CO. I can't wait to get back there but knowing that Mike will have a really good job when he gets out is a big peace of mind for us both. Then, like I said, it's job hunting in CO we go!! No matter where you go in CO, you can't go wrong...that is truly the most perfect place (in my opinion, of course!!) We will still be staying here about the same amount of time as originally planned which means we still have about a year and a half to go. |
