Normally I'm asleep before the clock strikes midnight, however, our church started a Flashlight 5K on New Years Eve last year. It was awesome even though it rained throughout the whole race, and I mean downpoured. We were so wet. But it was fun. Then there was a spaghetti dinner in the fellowship hall after the race. We were done early enough that if you wanted to go party you still could. So this year, we are doing the race again. I hope it does not rain. This was the race I was hoping to be able to fully run, but with the PF healing, I think I will have to run walk it. THEN...we are heading off to another church that is having ballroom dancing from 9-12. I love to ballroom dance. I can't wait. I know that I can do both in one night, I worry about my hubby. I just have to face facts that he will be totally useless the next day. LOL The great thing about both events, they are at churches so there is no drinking. |

I have to admit that I still miss the snow, having been in the south for 19 years now, but I'm sure that I'm remembering the fun of the snow and not the hard and cold facts of ice and driving and shoveling, etc. My kids all still talk about the time I did 2 360s across the highway medium & oncoming traffic lanes and ended up on the shoulder safe and sound. The whole family was in the car plus an exchange student. Everyones eyes were huge. That was the first and hopefully last time I experienced uncontrolable hysterical laughter. |

When I did mine, luckily there was no oncoming traffic so we just spun on across. LOL which is what I did. |

Glad for the safe travels and the fact that everyone else has too much food in their fridge too.  New Years in my family growing up was always family game night - so we pretty much have adopted the same thing with sugar daddy and the Monkeys. We get party hats and blower things, eat a bunch of snack food, play games, and pass out on the couch before Barry Manilow sings.  Fun times, no? Today I'm grabbing lunch with another BTer who's in town visiting family (MDHillSlug) and then off to the pool to swim... We want pics of the hair, Beth! Have a good day at work, Kendra! |

I haven't been able to get online since Friday due to mother and sis living in the computer room. It was nice to have a quiet house yesterday and the day off of work, so all I did was lay in bed, watch TV, and figure out all the little functions on my new TimexTriHeartRate monitor. Got my HR pretty low by deep breathing and doing nothing all day. Did go through boys rooms whe hubby got home and purged a bunch of toys to send to daycare... so far niether has notice ANYTHING missing. Well, I'm back at work now, so hopefully that'll allow me a little time to catch up with you all. |
