Subject: RE: TAN #64 - A Case of Temporary InTANity meherczeg - 2009-01-15 3:39 PM i'm not any of the above. however, the Bible does speak against getting DRUNK. i try not to. i usually fail. for example, this weekend's tiling project will be accompanied by a crock pot of turkey chili, an 18pack of miller lite, and chocolate cake with chocolate peanut butter icing and sprinkles. Oh, I'm not officially anything either - but I do currently attend an Anglican (formerly Episcopal) church. I know that the Bible says "do not get drunk" - some denominations take that to mean "no alcohol" which I think is dumb. None of us who drink ever get drunk, or at least we certainly try not to, and do a pretty good job of it (it is never our intention to drink until we're hammered). Maybe a buzz, but I've never seen any of my friends plastered. I've had wine and beer with some of our pastors, so they're all cool with it as long as we're not ridiculous. Then there's my roommate who didn't even have wine at her 1-year anniversary dinner with her boyfriend (weird). We're not that extreme. Edited by wurkit_gurl 2009-01-15 2:58 PM |

Well, according the one little clip I found, there seem to be survivors...so that's a good sign, at least. The plane is floating in the river. |

Must have been a decent pilot if he got it down soft enough to not kill anyone. |

Nice big open space, less impact, flotation devices on board and lots of immediate help nearby. |

Yeah, cuz otherwise, I think planes would crash more often, esp. as they were going up, or coming down. |
