Thanks Canadian Medical Association...but I'm not a dr. Haha. It has a nice ring to it though, doesn't it? You don't mind if she's Dr. DisturbingIronman instead of Mrs. DisturbingIronman? Heck, if WHEN she makes it through med school I'll call her whatever she wants What's that supposed to mean? Let me correct that for him. Thanks for the assist Kendra! Of course that's what I meant to say. I know Neal. Just giving you a hard time. MD, MD. I haven't decided if I like the ring to Dr. Dymond yet...it sounds kind of weird at the moment. Also...its fairly difficult to get kicked out of medicine. |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Run your azz off in July Ghoulies!!! Also. I found out today that I get the last two weeks of Aug off! Yaaa! The lab shuts down on Aug 13 or something. Now I have to figure out what I am going to do.... I'm def thinking shopping trip in the States--because I want to go somewhere not BC and AB! Haha. I realised this morning that about 80% of the clothes that I have in Vic with me are too big, which means the same situation exists at home...so I could go shopping for new clothes or buy a belt...def think shopping for new clothes is funner...more expensive...but funner. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Run your azz off in July Ghoulies!!! Good morning Ghoulies! I already got my run in and some yoga. It was a hill workout today. My hamstring is still not happy about hills, but I've been around DC, Arlington before, I highly doubt the hills on the first 8 miles of the marathon are anything like the ones I train on. I did have to stop about halfway through my run to stretch my hamstrings out. Yoga felt good when I was done, too. |

If the registration closed at midnight last night, I missed it. My son would not do it, I could probably get him to do a du, though. He isn't a swimmer. My daughter will be the next triathlete in the family. She loves the water, but she's not the fastest swimmer, yet. She just got a bigger bike and she's not too bad on it. She LOVES to run! I wish I smiled as much when I run as she does. |

I turned my alarm off and went back to sleep I was tempted to turn off the alarm. My husband even said to me this morning that he thinks I should run in the evenings. He said the temp is the same at 7 or 8 in the evening as it is at 4 in the morning. It is not, trust me. He also thinks it is safer. There are more cars on the road in the evening, most mornings I don't even see a car. So I think it is safer to run in the morning. It is also harder to get out of the house in the evenings. I get involved doing things around the house or with the kids then it gets late and I'm getting tired. I think for now I'll continue running in the morning. |

I totally agree on the morning approach (this from someone who slept in today). Fewer cars and lower heat/humidity. Evening workouts are hit/miss with me and I don't have the kid challenge that you do. Since it's been hot even in the morning I've been wearing the fuel belt with a small bottle of water or two. I carry mace on that since some of my runs take me past an area that has had bear sightings. Although, I don't really worry much about bears. Morning Toppage Edited by kcarroll 2010-07-13 7:02 AM |
