As Tony already knows (we actually DO talk every once in a while) I can't look for work AT ALL until I have the Green Card in my hands. To do otherwise would be very, VERY bad in terms of being allowed to stay in the country. What to do... what to do... it would be easiest to go back into law as that's where I have the most experience, but if something else comes along that's interesting I'd be more than happy to check out other opportunities. Bottom line... something that will PAY me! what would you do if you could do whatever you wanted??? i love fantasizing about what i might be when i grow up one day... |

Hey TAN, Following on Brad asking about his Legacy Project, I was thinking about what outreachy thing I can do especially over the next 6 months with my family still back in Florida. My church has the below three things. What do you think I should do? 1) Prison Outreach - Marine, Big guy, I think I can handle this, plus I did this in Charleston with Juveniles when I was at The Citadel. 2) Post Release Outreach - This is an outreach mentor program for people who were just released. This is probably my least-favorite idea. 3) Tutoring for Kids in a Hispanic Community - Many are here with their parents on work visas. The kids hardly speak english, many of the parents are illiterate. I am fluent in Spanish. But I would worry about if I have to travel leaving the kid stranded on his/her tutoring along the way. Any thoughts? |
