We are supposed to get snow here today, too. Just a dusting but there will be ice.

67 degrees yesterday and today's high is supposed to be 43. Fun.

No snow in GA.  How was everyone's weekend?  Had a good visit with my dad and sister, but she is really stressed out having him live with them.  There is a reason that they did not have kids, and now she has a big kid living with them.

It is just ugly outside. Cold. Snow. Wind. We are staying put. The dogs won't even go outside.

Plus, Caleb isn't feeling well. He's lying in his bed right now, doing nothing. He hasn't even eaten anything yet today. 

Yuck on all accounts.

Right now it is pretty here but the wind is picking up and the temps are starting to fall. I really can't complain, it is 50 on the porch now.

Snow is still coming down hard here. It is down to 12, supposed to get down to -2 overnight. I doubt the kiddos have school tomorrow which means either we change when we go on vacation, or the kiddos miss the last day of school or two. Before today there was one more built in snowday in the school calendar. 

I can't really tell how much snow we've gotten. About 6" in front of the front of the house there is over a foot of snow, 20' away in the driveway parts of it are clear all the way down to the blacktop. I just let Milo out in the backyard a few minutes ago. In parts of the yard you can still see grass, just a few feet over the snow was halfway up Milo's legs. I just know we have a bunch, and it's really blowing and drifting.

Katie, how is your son? If I remember correctly the last time you were here, not long after he was born, you said he had some problems?

WOW Katie, what a cutie-pie!. Those milestones must be very, very sweet.

An acquaintance here has a son about the same age with the same syndrome. I follow his progress on Facebook with the cochlear implants and hearing his first words. Makes me have happy tears to watch him learn. This was his first Christmas with sound, it was fun to watch his amazement and excitement.

Katie, he is adorable.  What a bundle of joy.  Oh, and enjoy the warm Cali weather.  That is one thing I do miss about California even after begin away from there for 27 years.  Oh, wait, I was in the bay area.  Much colder there than Sacramento, even though SF is to the south of Sacramento, LOL.

I was supposed to run yesterday, did not get it done.  Way to cold.  Need to run tonight, guess I'll have to go to the gym.  I am considering getting an elliptical for the house.  Thoughts?  Comments?  We do have a treadmill, but it is sick right now.  Need to find someone who can really repair it.  The last people basically ripped us off.

Ellipticals are great. They are much easier on joints (and feet) than running is. I can use an elliptical for an hour now, but I can't run for 30 seconds without hurting. You don't have to move your foot up and down. It is a great workout, but you would have to ease back into running if using that exclusively. If I had room, I would get one to use interchangeably with the treadmill.

Cold isn't even the word to describe it here. It was -4 when I got up this morning. It has since warmed up to 1. The kiddos have a 2 hour delay, but Caleb is staying home sick. I'm WFH, too. 

It won't be above freezing for at least the next week. The good news about that is we may get to go ice skating. I'm trying to find a pair of skates for Caleb online. Between us, and my SIL we have quite a few pairs lying around, but no 14's. 

You're all adorable. Don't blink, before you know it he will be a teenager.

Years ago I bought an elliptical. I hated it, Donnie loved it, he used it all the time. When I bought the treadmill we gave the elliptical to one of his sister's. Definitely a low impact activity, but not as aerobic as running.
