Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Nibbs XVIII enders_shadow - 2008-04-01 8:24 AM Morning, Nibbs.... Today's Public Service Announcement - Do not teach April Fool's to a 6 year old. I explained it yesterday and then woke her up today with "Wake up, they cancelled school." "Really, mom?" "NO - April Fool's!" So she spent all of breakfast playing inane April Fool's on her 3-year old sister who took it all literally and started crying. "Younger Monkey, there's a spider on your shoulder." "Waaah." My bad. Of course, then Sugar Daddy came downstairs and told how he switched the sugar and salt when he was 8. I will need to test all of the condiments before I make dinner. I did not remember it is April Fool's Day at all. I totally believed the ad on Google mail for sending mail back in time until I started thinking about it and then realized it couldn't possibly work. I'm still kind of out of it. |

I've gone driving around with someone from the area, but that's about the extent of it at this point. I'm planning on staying in PA the last weekend in April to start the process it's a little overwhelming! |

He texted back that he's "drinking and drinking and drinking" HEHEHEHEHE!!! LOL! I had some folks pull an april fools joke like that on me once, but it backfired - I had just taken over a new department and it was a MESS. I had to term a lot of people because they weren't performing (of course after setting expectations and giving them plenty of time to come up to speed) We were changing lots of processes, and well - it was a MESS A gal that reported to me was like my right hand in supporting the changes and helping to get stuff done - I knew she was under a ton of stress and was trying to be very sensitive to it. i had also just hired a new supervisor that was totally overwhelmed as well. Anyhooooo............that morning, my son got sick and I had to stay home with him - I quickly went to work to get stuff to do at home when he was sleeping - didn't see anyone Got home and listened to my voicemail - there was a voicemail from this gal telling me she wasn't coming in and that she just couldn't take it anymore, it sounded like she was sobbing I freaked out - forwarded her voicemail to the HR gal, we talked and I ended up calling her finance who of course said 'she's at work' when I asked, NOW I'm really concerned, thinking she is who knows where so I call the supervisor and approach the subject with great care (in between calls to the HR person thinking we had a real crisis going on) My supervisor answers the call - and not knowing how freaked out I am feeds more fuel to the fire about how he hasn't seen her - and so forth, until the point that he can't do it with a straight face anymore and I hear him start laughing and hear her laughing in the background Wow - did they get me or what? |

Yes, I'm going to a chiropractor who worked miracles on someone elses foot and I'm hoping that he can do the same for me. The treatment hurts like hedoublehockeysticks but I can walk out of the office without limping. I have gone for 3 treaments so far and I am seeing an improvement. I lived in New Jersey from the age of 8 to 21 and used to visit PA a lot. My stepmother is in Media, which is south of Phili. Used to date someone up near where you are. It is beautiful country. yeah, house hunting is not easy. It can be a lot of fun though. |

Hubby works at hospital not far from our house. I thought about heading home and riding my bike over (of course now I don't have it) and taking his truck. Just leave him at work with no ride. Update on my boss... well, we got him better than expected. I did call his boss to let her know in case he called her, and he did, and she gave us away. Four of us sent him TM's, he called one of my co-workers back and she told him she didn't know what was going on but the aquatics coordinator was packing up her office. He told her to call his boss and get her down here right away. Yep, we all took a picture with a poster "April Fool's" and TM'd it to him. We figure he must have been drunk to think that the most easy going happy person in the office would take off like that. |

Feeling better today. I was still really tired this morning. I did manage to make it through my run today, though. Now I'm feeling much better. I feel kind of bad for skipping it yesterday, but there's no way I could have done it last night. |
