Hey all,
Here is the deal on the tests. I have the first test friday morning at 11:30. It is a visual test, called Evoked Potentials. I don't know what all is involved, but I know it involves covering one eye, electrodes on my shaved head and seeing how my brain processes the info. They will check both eyes, so it could take about 90 minutes.

Then at 5pm on friday I will have my MRI, I will need prayers for that one. They will do two sets of scans. One without contrast then a second set with contrast.

Once the doc gets those results, we'll see if he orders more tests.

My in-laws have been here since friday and we have been running the whole time. It caught up with me today. I got up at 8 and back in bed at 9:15 and slept until 12:30. overall 13 hrs of sleep.

I know you are all looking for facebook and twitter stuff.

*bigger breakfasts
*increase running frequency at easy pace
*take it easy when i need it.....don't overdo.

Goals for March, find out what's going on.

Get back on the bike. -as much as physically possible.

Walking-jogging - when the body allows.

Swimming, probably more so. I have to join the pool.

tripletmom01 - 2009-03-10 12:47 PM We are quiet.  Whats up?  Have you made march goals??

Crumbs! It doesn't seem that long since posting Feb's targets!

The March plan: I'm gonna swim for 2hr 15, bike for 7hrs 30 and run for 4hr 45

The running's gonna be lots of long plodding to try and up my distances (endless miles of Zone 2, I guess?)

The biking is going to involve a lot of hills - which I found quite hard in the tri on Sat - think I'll start some power specific weights - we'll see...

The swimming is just to keep up what's there. I should have been 1st on Sat - to have totally screwed my swim and only be 15secs off 1st is fine by me! (for now!)

Incidentally - they had so many takers for the Wee Tri, they ran it on Sunday as well - in horrendous weather - the fastest swim was 4 min 36 sec!!!Surprised And weirdly, he had the same bike and run times as I did! (I guess you can either swim fast and bike/run average or vice versa!)

You just made me think of my mom.  She always use to say that.  Too funny.  Thanks for the blast from the past.

Hmmmm......March Goals:

  • Eat healthy foods, start to cut out sweets and sugar
  • Swim 16,000 yards
  • Run outside more than I do inside on the TM (not doing very well so far)
  • Do all scheduled workouts (not too bad, misses have been due to things I can't control)
  • Finalize race schedule (only have to register for a couple more)
  • Eat mo' peanut butter!

Yes, eat mo' PB.  The peanut growers of the US can use your support!  PCA has really caused problems for all of the peanut industry.  We all need to do our part by eating more PB.

Really, it is just good and, in moderation, good for you (just watch the sugar content).

Besides, Tammy really likes PB and eats a lot of it--she is fast.  So, I think if you eat a lot of PB you will be faster!

I'm sure there's some smart a$$ comment about the credit crunch and making peanuts , but I'll try to resist!Wink

(What's PCA?)

If running girl Tammy eats lots then I should too - I need all the help I can get; but surely a low sugar content become irrelevant when you need to add jam to make it edible? Is there another way?!

Hey I got into tri after my job went splat when the dot com bomb blew up the company I worked for. It took a while to figure out what to do with all that energy I was used to focussing on accomplishments that usually came via my career. And as others have said, there was all this time to work out! Enjoy!

Hello all,

Either my brain is really whacked, or the scheduler told me the wrong day for my MRI. It was supposed to be thursday evening not friday evening. They rescheduled it for saturday at 7am and I was there early to make sure I got my MRI. The VEP was ridiculously whacked. Staring at a tv screen for 45 minutes.

Three rounds for the left eye, 4 for the right. Hopefully I will know more later this week. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.

Great news!!!!

No MS!!! YAY!!! I guess I just need more rest and I probably had competely overtrained. No more peach month attempts for me.

Starting tonight I am getting back in the groove. A short spin on the bike on the trainer, too wet and nasty here for a good ride. Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I could feel the vibes. You all rock.
