Subject: RE: TAN 75: Yanti wouldn't start me.Sprint_DA - 2009-05-15 8:50 AM wurkit_gurl - 2009-05-15 7:44 AM Morning, skanks. It's Friday. Gonna run (maybe) after work if it doesn't rain. Otherwise, I might do a trainer ride. Might be doing some triathlon-related shopping with one of my mentee friends this weekend, to get her the basic stuff she needs to train (like bike shorts, a pair of running shorts and sunglasses that she didn't buy at Anne Taylor Loft) - yay!!! It's supposed to be sh*tty all weekend - I was gonna go jockstrap for the Columbia Triathlon on Sunday, cuz CHRISSIE WELLINGTON will be there, but I'm not sure if I want to stand out in the rain... Everybody in the house say Ho! Sounds like a fun weekend. I'd go stand in the rain to stare at hot pro triathlete women jockstrap for my close personal friends. Yeah, I know a lot of folks racing, so I'd like to go. Depends on the forecast. If it's drizzly, then that's not a big deal - I own a rain jacket with a hood. But if it's thunderstorms, not so much. |

I just finished The Shack a week or so ago... so popular stuff is lower on my list for a while...

When You Are Engulfed In Flames was all right - a quick read, anyway. Wasn't as amazing as I expected, considering the hype around Sedaris, who I think in general is pretty funny. I buy "unmatching" books all the time. The people at Barnes and Noble probably think I'm a weirdo. |

snob. i bought 2 books last night - 90 minutes and "when you are engulfed by flames" quite opposite authors, themes, etc. oh well. It's not about snobbery. it's all work reading to me... and I get more for preaching and writing usually out of non-religious fiction/movies than religious... but I also need to be reading scholarly work to increase my understanding so my proclamation does not fall to the newest popular thing. that's all. Besides I even have to read a bunch of "practical" stuff too... about visioning and planning and mission and stuff... I have to have an eclectic reading list.
