Just logged my afternoon ride. I'm caught up on my ride goal but behind on the run. Overall we are behind too. Sorry folks. I'll be caught up soon and won't be holding us back.

I have to go shopping this afternoon for bits and pieces for a 90s costume...
Was thinking Shania Twain but I couldnt find enough leopard print material last weekend, so possibilities right now are a Gladiator, Nancy Kerrigan (with crutches etc), Trinity from the Matrix, possibly Unma Therman from Pulp Fiction....

Based on that stud-muffiny profile pic I think you should go with Gladiator!

I updated the sheet with teammates that haven't updated the spreadsheet  - we are not a slight (.4) lead over the ghoulies.

One question - how do we handle cottoneyes that is still on the spreadsheet but has dropped out of the challenge?

Do we just delete him from the spreadsheet or what?

In general the people who withdraw from challenges are deletes or have the comment "withdrawn" on the spreadsheet.

I do so want to go as a gladiator, but I think we are going out on the town after the main party and I'm not sure if I have quite the guts to do that!

Oh well, at this rate I won't be going as anything as today is my last chance shop for it and my OH said he would be home an hour ago but I hear he only just left his friends house so will be at least another 30mins. That leaves 2.5 hours of shopping left to do the weekly grocery shop and get stuff for a costume...

Public Service Announcement:

Good morning Ghoulie Wannabees. I hated to do it but I had to adjust my running goal. I only dropped it by 16 miles, but I had to lower the goal. I did a Warrior Dash last weekend, which was a blast, but I banged up my knee pretty good and was unable to run this past week. I hope you find this acceptable.

True.....but I looked over the pre week training for Jorge's winter plan and realized my leg isn't going to tolerate that for at least another 6-8 weks and it's sooooooo disappointing Cry

Jorge is one of the certified tri coaches on BT, he has a thread here in the challenge forum where he posts a 14 week winter cycling training plan as a way to give back to BT.  I did most of it last season and had a lot more bike strength when I got back on the road.

I can start it later, just would have preferred to start it when he has the session start.  It's hard to copy the workouts each week and not know for sure what he means when I'm way behind the rest of the group.

I know the one you're talking about now. I went over there and tried to take a look at the week one schedule but I couldn't get it to work. I was unable to see a detailed breakdown of week one, only a thumbnail. I'm not the most computer savvy...

Click on his link, then when you are on the page you can click on either the power meter or the HRM training plan.  If you don't use HRM training you can do it as perceived exertion.   He has explanations of what he means by "A" or "B" in the rest sets somewhere.  I have all 14 weeks of last years plan written down with the explanation written all on index cards.
