My roommates and I have challenged my boyfriend and his roommates to a mud run challenge in April. I'm really excited for it and I think it will be a fun thing for us to do to end our senior year. If anyone's done one I'd love to hear stories about it. No but I would love to try one. Call me a wimp, but this just sounds cold to me. Edited by pdbman 2010-11-15 4:23 PM |

My roommates and I have challenged my boyfriend and his roommates to a mud run challenge in April. I'm really excited for it and I think it will be a fun thing for us to do to end our senior year. If anyone's done one I'd love to hear stories about it. Back in H.S. when I ran x-country, there were a few races that were quite muddy, and those were fun. I did a trail marathon last Spring ('09) that had the middle 6 miles on a wooded trail - it was late April here in WI and the trail was getting muddy, but nothing too bad. It was one of the hardest runs I've ever done. If it's a short race (5K - 10K), I'm thinking it'll be fun to do. It's 4 miles I think maybe a little less. it's got military inspired obstacles and stuff you have to go through like climbing walls, tire run etc. Looks like a lot of fun. The boys are already talking trash about how they are gonna beat us with ease but I think it's going to be a pretty even race. The girls definitely run a lot more, in fact my bf is the only one who runs regularly while I have one roommate in ROTC who does PT 5 times a week, one who is looking at doing a half marathon in the spring, and the other tries to run semi regularly so I think we've definitely got them beat there but the obstacles may be a little harder for us. here's a link if anyone wants to see what its all about... http://t4tchallengerun.com/ Ive done tough huy in the UK twice - the first time lots of my friends did it with me, the second time they refused so I did it alone...it was awesome fun even if it did leave me with frostbite in the tips of 3 fingers http://www.toughguy.co.uk/ |

I went to see a new muay thai trainer last night and he stood in front of me and told me directly that he won't train girls because he is too tough. I actually thought he was joking to start with and when I realised he was serious I just turned around and walked out because I was so mad. This is 2 trainers now - seriously!!! I am used to having to work a lot harder because I'm a girl but I'm not used to being told I can't do something! |

If anyone's done one I'd love to hear stories about it. I want to do one that's local, it's called Dauber Dash and it's at a historical park a few miles from my house. We were away this summer when it happened (it was alos at the beginning of my injury). NEXT YEAR for sure. My daughter wants to do it with me. |

Oooh, I miss football. I mean theres more than enough sport here and I mainly love rugby but I grew fond of "American" football while living in Canada. This weekend was an awesome time to be English living in Oz as we trounced them in the rugby test |

Instead of getting deer with a high-powered rifle, in the woods, you're using an electrical stream, not in the woods, and needing to run after me - times have changed and new lessons have been updated. She doesn't need to run. She has a bike. And a car. |
