What's up? I took the last of my antibiotics yesterday and today I have a fever, sore throat and an ear ache.I grabbed a piece of Amy's mojo that was darting by and reallly wanted to run this am. The mojo was so disgusted with me, it left! Bleck! What were you diagnosed with? Maybe you have a virus that laughed in the face of the antibiotics. It was pretty positively strep throat. I tend to get really persistent infections that lurk in the depths of my sinuses and ears that are hard to treat. that is how I got the tedenosis in my shoulder last year from antibiotics. Dang, Robin! That is NO GOOD!! Hope you can get it cleared up soon. |

My past 2 cell phone bills have been HIGH. The initial bill I thought was because I added Caleb's plan. Last month I wasn't sure, but I paid it. I just got my new bill and it was $203. I thought that wasn't right so I went online and actually looked at the bill. They were still charging me for my individual plan, which was supposed to have been dropped AND the shared plan. I have now been credited for the overages and the individual plan has been dropped. That will save me $$ every month. That's more play money for me!
Glad that you caught it and that they made it right! |

Haven't decided what to do with my time off. I will take the dogs to the park in a little bit and possibly run after that. That sounds like a GREAT way to spend some time off! |

We have had no raises for the past 5 years and it looks like this will be year 6 with no raise. That is also no cost of living increases also, and they have raised our expenses on health insureance and co-pays. So, 12K sounds really good to me. Plus being the big boss. It is a one building system, so it would be a nice segway into a larger system if I decided to go for something larger.kns57 - 2012-09-11 1:22 PM I'm getting excited about the job opportunity. I've been looking into the system and the requirements for the job. Plus I spoke with a director at another system who used to work for me. He was very positive about me trying for the position and will be one of my references. Now to just line up a couple of other references without giving away what I am up to. I think one of my fellow rotarians will be a reference for me. Even though she retired several years ago, we work in the same system and she knows me in Rotary. Now to come up with one more.
So if the commute is a drawback (at least it would be for me), then what are the advantages? The autonomy of being the director? That could be very cool.
That does sound good. Hope it works out for you! |

He was actually pretty easy to work on because he only wanted a medium pressure. However, the appointment was at the end of my day and was two hours. In fact I usually end at 6:00 pm and this one went to 7:30 pm. So I was pretty tired by the time I got home. I am guessing that he is in his sixties and he does about 10 marathons a year. I don't know how fast he goes, but still. Interesting! |

I am waiting for the school bus to come by and pick up the neighborhood kids. They are still out there near the park. Sounds like they are having a good time... playing tag or something. My little dog would want to run over and join them. The big dog would follow the little one, and that might scare some of the kids. I am sure the bus will come soon. They must have late start because usually they are gone by now. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. Speaking of running... Nike announced they are putting on a HM in DC on April 28. Registration begins late October. I'm going to try and get in. It benefits the Lymphoma & Leukemia society. Being that I've been told I have a very high likelihood of developing leukemia I think I would like to run for them. |

It gives you a goal for after Key West, too. |

I was going to text you the other night, but then I thought "what if she has an important interview of exam in the morning?". So I didn't. It was late. But with my luck you were probably up anyway. LOL. |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. Melissa! dee! Robin! Ann! Hi again guys!
Well the homework saga continues... Dear Hubby arrived home this afternoon from his trip, just before I had to head to work for the night. The Boy had a big Book Report to write--plus a small spelling assignment, and a small math worksheet correction to do, plus review the poem he is supposed to memorize and pass off by tomorrow. All of this is written down, in the planner the school gives all of the kids. The teacher has them write down what needs to be done in the planner every day. Every. Day. The kid is in 5th grade. This is not new, he's had the same type of planner since 1st grade. Hubby actually looked at me and said "you have to teach me how to use his planner". I was dumbfounded. You just look at it and see what's written, then ask him to show you each item when it's done. It's not rocket science. Then when it's all done you sign off the bottom of the page where it says "parent signature". Needless to say, when I got home from work just before 11, The Boy was still up, by himself, trying to finish his homework. He barely got the rough draft of his report written. Hubby was holed up in the bedroom, surfing the internet. And the boy's dinner was still sitting on the counter, barely touched. Grrrr.
I've gotta say, I'm impressed with how seriously my boy is taking his work lately. He had even written me a note asking me to wake him up early in the morning so he can finish up the final draft of his report before school.

*vent over* Wow, Amy. I guess your hubbie doesn't get that he is setting the pattern for your Boy to know who is there for him and who isn't. You two need to talk, you can't raise a family all by yourself when there are two of you there. Kids figure it out. {{{{Hugs}}}}} and Margaritas coming your way. |
