I had to work because it was a yearly maintenance day. Had to reboot all the equipment. Worked 4.5 hours this morning, I'm going to put an extra 3.5 in this week so I can have Friday off and save a vacation day.

He found the keys.

The driver's license find is good, couldn't get on a plane without it. Since I'm renting a car though and driving from Miami I really need a check or credit card!

Hi guys. I have a dilemma. My hubby is definitely coming to the keys. He finally sat down to book his flights today--while his truck warmed up for him to drive to Nevada for a quick work trip. He can't fly in on Thursday as planned, Friday is also booked, and Wednesday night is our son's pinewood derby. He's so excited about it, and he really sees it as a dad-n-me activity, so...yeah. I still am not feeling 100%, and to put it mildly I have been stressed about getting everything caught up and done around the house that needs to be done before I leave before dawn on Tuesday. Long story short, hubby booked a flight into Miami on Thursday, reserved a car, and booked a ticket for me as well. I have until tomorrow morning to cancel that ticket if I want. He's not worried about the original ticket I had purchased because we just used his frequent flier miles for it (there's no shortage of those it seems). So now I have to decide which day to fly in. Tuesday the flight is right into KW. Thursday we'd fly into Miami and drive--but we'd get to spend a little time together and maybe sight see on the way to KW. Having the option to go Thursday sure lifted lot of stress. But then I'd miss a couple days of KW sunshine, and adjusting to weather with temps above freezing.

What would the gouhlies do? 

Flying in on Tuesday sure does sound good, but if flying in on Thursday with your husband lifts some stress, and you get to spend some time sightseeing with him, I think I'd wait and go Thursday. That's just my opinion.

I'm WFH today. I feel completely and totally like crud. I went to bed a little after 8:00 last night. After working for 5 hours yesterday, and it wasn't sit at my desk and type computer commands it was physical work, then in the afternoon I had to take the boy to his basketball game, I was beat.

My daughter's team lost her basketball game, they've won 1 all season. She pulled down 5 rebounds, and scored on a foul shot though.

My son's team won, he shot, but missed. He pulled down 3 rebounds, and stole the ball twice. He just needs some confidence in his shooting. I've seen him make that same shot he took countless times and make it.

I understand your dilemma.  I had that originally and choose to fly in Tuesday and hubby was going to follow on Thursday, but then things changed for him and he is now able to fly in with me on Tuesday.  As you see, I chose the extra time in the sun, it was a hard choice but then again I did not have the stress of kids and such, or a hubby who travels, so it is nice to see him when he is around.  So, I'm not being much help. 

Feel better, feel better, feel better.

I do miss seeing kid sport games.  Went to countless soccer, baseball, tennis games for my kids, and then since they were in band, highschool football games.

Yeah... Keri is home with me today. I think she may be coming down with the flu.

WFH again today. The crud has migrated from my head down to my chest.

I had the same thought. Robin and Jim should get there today.

Rant***

County Commissioners cut the library budget by 1 million dollars.  Library Board decided last night that we can extend the library hours by 6 hours each week.  How the f**k does a 1 million dollar cut equal increasing hours?  What kind of message are we giving the community.  Oh, gee, we weren't working hard enough, so now that you have cut our budget, we are going to make the staff that we have left, work even harder even though we have made them increase productivity by 50% over the last five years with no pay increases.  So we will now be open to the public 50 hours a week instead of 44, cause with less money we can do more.  STUPID MESSAGE

I'm not going until Thursday. i think our flight into Miami lands at 4 pm or so. Wish us luck getting through traffic so we can see the good stuff on our way through the keys.  

On another note, I have a dr's appointment in a half hour. This cold is trying to be a sinus infection now. I have slowly been feeling worse again the last couple days. Gotta get better so I can enjoy KW!

I'm WFH again today. Still feeling like crud, I went to bed at 7:30 last night and slept until just after 5 this morning. We are also getting some freezing rain and I don't drive in that.

I just got back from a TM run at the gym. Robin and Kendra must be sending their Gouhlie love--there was a big patch of blue sky when I came out of the gym. I haven't seen blue sky more than once in the past 2 weeks.
