Sore today so I am off to the pool. My arms are sore from lifting so we'll see how it goes in the water. Feels great to be on track again! Thanks for keeping me going boys...you know who you are! Hell yea! 40 easy turns into a sufferlandia-like workout. You, woman, are hard core. Question is - did you get a nose bleed this time? Ha! No nose bleed...would have been easier to handle on the trainer than when I am running. Seriously, thanks for all your help; it made a world of difference. |

So glad to hear that your hip is finally getting better and that your stroke is finally coming together. It might be a good idea to really take it easy on your runs and to focus on your swimming as you recover. If you play it right, you will be back in business before too long. Jared - way to get in such a long walk. Must have been nice to do it in such nice weather! Charles - Great workout! Those Shiners should taste pretty good! I got out on a long walk with my wife today. The weather was nice but still on the cold side. We came home and I made us some whole wheat pizzas and now we are watching hockey. My Flyers lost to Pittsburg. I hate Pittsburg. How happy are all you Canadians to have hockey back? Oh ohhh, you and my wife would not get along..she is from Halifax, Sidney Crosby's home town. I like the flyers though, Giroux is from a little town just down the road from where we live now actually, and Ilya Bryzgalov is just awesome to watch, playing and in interviews!
And the LEAFS WON!!!! |

Expert 1662 Spokane, WA | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Congrats on the Leafs victory today. Wreck the Halls winter brew from Full sail. Advertised as a Hoppy Holiday Ale. Rediculously tasty. I agree. I'm watching this documentary on netflix called ride the divide about these riders who race the continental divide from Banff to Mexican Border. 2000+ miles. It's insane. I thought Ironman looked difficult. Gonna have to recalibrate my new "norm". Night all. Prost |

Extreme Veteran 968 Cape Coral, FL | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed By the time I got home yesterday they mail had arrived. I open my box to find my pull buoy in it Now I can practice my stroke without being worried about kicking and sinking like a rock! Yes I had to order it online because even though we are in S Florida and swim all year long not one store carried it. One store had the slot for it on the shelf but nothing there for 2 weeks. When I asked they said they never sell so I probably won't see them for a few months. |

Extreme Veteran 968 Cape Coral, FL | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Going to a carnival with the family today. Gonna be a lot of fun. Stopping on the way home for some Leffe Blonde. Takes me back to when I lived in Germany while in the service. I know I probably will be booted out of BDAS for saying this, BUT....I used to drink Cola Wisen. It's a very tall glass of crystal wisen with the last few inches topped off with COKE! That's right I went there. I blame it on the fact I was young and dumb, lol. In all honesty it was real real tasty and perfect for drinking at the disco during a night of dancing. |

enjoy the Carnival and the Leffe! Love me some Leffe!....
on the subject of pop with beer... When we were in Germany we did an awesome guided bike tour of Munich. We stopped at the Englischer gardens, a nice little park and of course they had beer. I went for the Weissbier while my Wife had a concoction they called 'Raddlers brew' half beer half sprite. Of course I tried it and it was actually really good and refreshing! |

Should have gotten up and at 'em earlier but feeling pretty wiped out today...I did more in the first three weeks of 2013 than I did in the last 3 months of 2012. Run and bike will happen but not the swim; of course I could bike to the pool waaa...its too cold out there. Football and no beer...gotta happen because the scale isn't moving! With missing my swim today no room for the extra calories...sometimes life just sucks. |

So 3 out of 4 not bad. My diet failed this week, so no excuses. I have to buckle down and go true paleo for 30 days. This week I joined a new gym that my buddy is in, and he is going to possibly do the tough mudder with me. So we are going to do  strength training 2x a week in the morning and run 3x times in the morning. I also signed up for a 5k race in april, and did sign up for the Minnesota Tough Mudder in July. Good Job everyone on getting your goals for the week.  Great job on the goals man! I am with you on the weight...scale didnt even budge for me this week. My wife made Paleo cookies...while delicious...I dont think really helped with the weight loss! Also I am not sure that the Caveman had access to coconut flour and/or baking soda! I would love to do a tough mudder... a fellow I knew from high school did it this year and then posted pictures of him wearing the head band everywhere....At his office, on the subway, volunteering at an old folks home calling bingo! ( that was my favorite) Where is the Minnesota race being held? my buddy here is from Duluth and maybe I could convince him to do a roadtrip! Edited by Yakhead 2013-01-20 2:12 PM |

Just getting worse as the day progresses. |

So for the week, I got most of my workouts in, was set to do my long bike ride today, but was super tired and decided to just sit around and play with the boys. Got them outside and tried out their new bikes and scooter and played a little catch. Now inside watching the football game wondering if SF is going to come back. May try to go to the gym in a bit and do the ride on the stationary, but it is looking doubtful. If not, I will get it in tomorrow since I'm off work. My weight loss and nutrition for the week was a fail, I ate out twice and had a bit of junk, but at least the scale didn't move either way just didn't drop the pounds. Will post goals for the next week in a bit! |

Accomplished my work out goals last week but held onto the bodyweight. Must have plateaued due to the fast weight loss last week. will push harder this week during workouts and keep diet strict. thought i'd be 289 by now. Good thing was that I ran 8 miles yesterday with no walking. took me an hour and 39 min but still didn't walk one step. |

Expert 4269 | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Wow - So bummed that the Ravens made it to the Superbowl... Today I had a good ride on the trainer and also did my first Yoga workout with the help on a Yoga Iphone App... I have had some bad customer service at the place were I do Yoga ($15 for a session but it's a $20 charge to use your credit card - doesn't seem right), so I boycotted and did a session at home using an app on my iphone. It was good - and I felt like I got a decent workout but does anyone have any good suggestions on where I could go to find other workouts? I hope everyone keeps it up this week. We started a month ago and almost everyone is still involved. Let's be sure to keep supporting each other! |
