I got 3 commutes this week. Next week was supposed to be a washout, but now the weather man says we won't get that much rain.  I'm still probably going to come up short at the end of August.

Nice going, JP!!

Given the heat, I rode the subway for the first time in weeks the other day.  Bus usage is up as well, but nonetheless....

Today was Day #31 of my 45 planned for bike commuting.

It's never too late! Welcome!

When I get to work tomorrow, I'll check my log and get with you on how many times I've ridden to work.

Since May 1st, I've commuted 50.5 times by bike.

Between now and Sept 1, I count 20 more working days. Put me down for at least 18 of them. That gives me a total of 68 commutes by bike.

And here I was, think I was so cool with my 40 commutes so far this summer. I only have 15 more days of work left, period!

No kidding!  Purple-dude is really fantastic with his almost daily commuting.  It's probably over 10 miles each way, too... right?    Impressive!

I'm just glad that people are riding more than driving; to me that's all that really counts.

Wow, way to bring it purplehayes!  Props also to jpcan and SunnyS.

It is cool to see people riding instead of driving.  I've noticed a number of other cyclists out in the mornings and afternoons.

I only managed 2 rides this week.  School starts on the 22nd this year, so I doubt I'll make it all the way to 50, but I'll keep riding.

It's 18 mi. each way.

When are we supposed to report our commutes? Weekly? On what day?

Without getting into my excuses, I've only had 3 (including today) commutes the last 2 weeks. So, I'm up to 26.

With my completely fuel inefficient vehicles, I save $6 in gas per day that I commute, so I've saved over $150 over this period (over $200 YTD). That is just gravy as I started commuting as it made better use of my time.

Alrighty, my company moved into a new building and I have a shower now (and I am acclimated to ride home in 100+ degrees)

Put me down for 1 so far and I am going to try to ride in 2-3 times each week.

Ditto in (Dallas) Texas, but I resign my commuting once the time changes due to lack of daylight. At least I'll still have Sept & Oct even though this challenge ends.

We don't do that in Arizona either!

Well, I lost that 'extra week to spare' that I had earlier, but I'm still just barely going to make my goal.  I'll have to ride every day except 1 for the next 6 workdays before my end of August vacation in order to succeed on this commuter challenge.  Wish me luck, and no rain!

Today was #39 of 45 planned for bike commuting.

Like my city's goofy little iBike icon?  I just like the green and the wheel.

Cheers, -Sunny
